Had this fabulous machine 1 month with full intentions of scanning 35mm slides. I completed 200 with no issues except for some close ups that cut the heads off. Tried photos with great results and also some negatives that I need more skill on. But still worked. This is really cool. Very glad I got this unit. Quality is outstanding.

I have been using for about three weeks. Have scanned several hundred pictures. Have not used slide scan yet. My only real issue is that the "scan" button is very sensitive and a third to half of the time I must press again to initiate scanning.

I purchased this to scan/archive hundreds of negatives and chromes. the quality is great for this purpose. a non-lossy format opens in photoshop easily and allows full resolution editing/archiving with ease. a great, easy to use scanner

I like the hardware - but I'm not wild about the software which could have a better interface.

After a bit practice, set up and scanning takes about 4-min. for 4 slides. Negative strips are a bit harder to set up. There is a large selection of input sizes and framing tools as well as output target sizes and resolutions. The software provides an effective basic suite of image correction tools.

I purchased this scanner about 6 weeks ago. I have, so far scanned about 5000 photos, some dating to 1911. Some are the size of a postage stamp, difficult to view from the film. These come our larger with detail not seen on the photo. Discolored old photos with red or yellow tint scan without the discoloration. I have not done half of the photos I have, but will continue. It is time consuming to do it right, using computer software to enhance the older photos, but the space savings is tremendous! When my time on earth finally comes to an end, my family will NOT have to make a decision about throwing out all the family history stored on film, they can have everything on a portable hard drive the size of a stack of 20 photos!

As an old time photographer, I had plenty of 35mm color slides. I wanted to preserve the best of the best so I turned to a scanner that I knew would handle the job. So glad that I did. Likely other Epson Scanner would do the same, but this one worked for me. No mater the model, it is not an automated process; nor should if be, it is to be expected that you have to work for the best slide, but I must say, the Epson process and software made the job a "piece of cake". Thanks Epson
