The scanner and its accompanying software are unstable. It requires a reset almost every scan. The scan quality is very good but the scanner is very inconvenient to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes excellent digital copies of slides

I have had this scanner for several months and am using it to convert numerous historical slides. The copies have been pure, sharp, and vibrant.
So far I have scanned more than 1,000 slides. The process is a bit slow, but it does the job!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent scanner/copier

I have used this product for over 5 years and have always gotten excellent results. It is somewhat difficult to copy materials from bound books, but just follow the instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for Scanning negatives

I bought this specifically to scan negatives from my Grandparents old photo box. I have been impressed with how well it scans. It has also worked great for slides and photos I am scanning. I am very pleased. It is a little slower than my other scanners but I assume it is because it is a higher resolution scan.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Value and Function.

I bought the V600 3 months ago and have been using it for a month now for scanning negatives. It does a great job of scanning negatives - even individually cut negatives. The color correction and dust correction features work very well. Even the feature to correct for scratches works well. So far it is working well for my purposes. I will be using it soon for scanning old color slides and hope it works well for that as it has been for color negatives.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Device

Got the scanner a little over a month ago to replace my older Epson scanner. Great features and software on-board. Scanning is accurate and seamless. My only kick is that it does not default to 'thumbnail' mode, takes a second pass to do so.
