Owned an Epson 2400 for years. Liked it enough to upgrade with same brand. I love that this one does slides and film, YEAH! have a lot of work and need to get busy getting my stuff done.

Perfect Scanner for photos and documents

This has met all expectations for photos and documents. It is quick and easy to use. I haven't used the slide and negative scan yet, but expect it to meet all expectations, too.

Very useful for scanning all our photos, which are "diapositives", and grouping them together, so we could watch them in family and with friends.

Good little scanner for the price

I needed a new scanner with higher resolution. I wish this scanner could scan 4x5 film, but it only goes to about 2 1/4 inches wide. The main scanner bed works well. I mis-read the specs and thought it would scan 8 1/2 x 14 inches, but it does not (my fault not the scanner's). It looks so long that you might think it would but it doesn't. Anyway, all-in-all, I like it and I'm glad I purchased it.

CHECK CLOSELY ON THIS WONDERFUL SCANNER BECAUSE EPSON HAS FAILED TO MAKE A "LASTING" INSTALLATION OF IT - IT WORKS ON WIN10 64 BIT AND THEN DISAPPEARS - A REAL PROBLEM - A NIGHTMARE REALLY

I bought this a few weeks ago. There is an issue I am not totally happy about. I don't know if this problem is a problem with my internet, or wireless, but it seems I remember reading this in another review. Every few times I try to use it to scan, I get a message that the scanner is not responding, or not connecting. I have to reboot the computer to get it to scan. I would recommend the scanner despite this problem because I am not sure where to put the blam.

The 'scratch & dust' editing works real good. I wish the unit would handle more then 4 slides. Unless I'm operating the unit wrong - you have to go through a 'review' step before the actual scan. It takes a while, a minute +/-, to scan a sheet. Thats a long time if you have dozens of pictures to do.
