I bought this a few weeks ago. There is an issue I am not totally happy about. I don't know if this problem is a problem with my internet, or wireless, but it seems I remember reading this in another review. Every few times I try to use it to scan, I get a message that the scanner is not responding, or not connecting. I have to reboot the computer to get it to scan. I would recommend the scanner despite this problem because I am not sure where to put the blam.

Good editing.

The 'scratch & dust' editing works real good. I wish the unit would handle more then 4 slides. Unless I'm operating the unit wrong - you have to go through a 'review' step before the actual scan. It takes a while, a minute +/-, to scan a sheet. Thats a long time if you have dozens of pictures to do.

Small learning curve. Fast set-up. Love the way it can scan several negatives at the same time.

Ease of use and speed.

I bought this over a month ago for a historical recording assignment and to reproduce slides of my past work. For the money, this is easier to use and with a speed of copy of photographs and downloading to the computer with out a long wait.

I love this as a scanner for documents and used once as negative scanner for old negatives. Now when I go back I can't get it to work - have spent an hour trying to get it done but is not working...FRUSTRATING!!! Recommend except for scanning negatives - and can only do one or two each time...very slow process.

It works fast and creates excellent scans of photos. The only thing I don't like is that the Epson Scan software doesn't allow selecting 48-bit color in the home mode. This means you have to select the professional mode and do one photo at a time. Though with scanning negatives you can do 48-bit color and it automatically gets all of the photos you have in the negatives on the flatbed.

Works far better than I expected!

I did a lot of research before purchasing the V600. Looking at many reviews, I was hesitant to purchase it due to the many less than positive reviews. But there just weren't many other options to scan slides unless I spent far more $. So, I decided I would order it and if I had issues I would return it. Long story short, I love this scanner! I installed it on a Windows 10 sure with no issues at all. The software provided has worked great and is simple to use and understand, contrasty to many reviews which called the software out of date, crude, and hard to understand. I ended up selecting 3600dpi to scan my slides, and have the ICE features enabled. The quality of the images are far and away better than the scans I did with a much more expensive Plustek scanner. Even on slides with many defects, the scanner and software correction works amazingly well. I have had to edit very few slide images. Simply put, buy one! You won't be disappointed.
