I bought this to copy all my family photo's ,slides and negatives. Could not be happier.Works great is easy to use and set up and I do recommend this to anyone who wants to digitize there photo collection

I have been scanning old photos and the software included is top notch. I also use it wil Photo Shop forcertain photos as well!

Incompatible

I am greatly disappointed that it is not compatible with IOS Big Sur.. I just upgraded my computer system specifically to archive family photos and historic documents.

Hi Loudy, we're here to help. The Perfection V600 scanner is compatible with computers running the MAC OS 11.x Big Sur operating system. You’ll need to install the updated Epson Scan 2 driver at www.epson.com/s/SPT_B11B198011?review-filter=macOS+11.x. However, this updated Epson Scan 2 version does not include Digital ICE. As a solution, we're providing the SilverFast SE Scanner Software free of charge. This software includes iSRD, an Infrared Dust and Scratch Removal tool that you can use in lieu of Digital ICE. If you need further assistance, our Advanced Support Team can be reached at 1-800-241-5794 between 7 am - 4 pm (PT), Monday - Friday. Sincerely, Bobby - The Epson Team.

Outstanding for all photographic scanning!

I had the same Perfection V600 Photo scanner for 8 years before it "died" and after some research I have now replaced it with the same kind again! I use it for genealogy and family history, scanning positives and all sorts of negatives and transparencies of different sizes. It does everything I need! Resolution is almost always more than needed, and color is very good. The scanner is easy to use with Photoshop and other programs. I highly recommend it for serious scanners! The V600 comes with a good set of accessories for different sizes of material from Kodachromes to formal portraits.

I've had this scanner for about two years so it is out of warranty. All of a sudden each scan comes with a magenta stripe though the left quarter of color negs and color slides. Now today there is a dark gray stripe on B&W neg scans as well. I switched the negs and slide around to see if this was some sort of water mark and no it isn't. So what is causing this to happen?

As Expected

I have owned an Epson scanner since 2000 and it still works! The only reason I bought a new one was because my Mac runs hardware on 64 bit vs the old 32 bit standard and I couldn't make my scanner run on the new operating system. The new scanner works like a charm and is every bit as fine as the old. Hopefully I will never have to buy another scanner again! ; )

Epson is a fantastic company! You can trust the products they produce. This is a great product. I have gone through three computers and the Epson scanner is still performing as it did on the first day I purchased it. Trust this company and the products they create.
