Epson V600 Scanner is first class

My wife has had a V600 for some time and has been using it and the ICE features with excellent results for our famil archives. We have been scanning prints, positive slides and negatives in a variety of sizes with unbelievable results. The unit is so good that I have purchased this second unit for additional scanning of a wide variety of materials.
You wil not be sorry with this unit.
The only problem is that it takes a while to conduct the scans, so do not go into this in a hurry up state.
Do not look for me on social networks.

A scanner with all the bells and whistles

My ten year old Epson scanner finally died so I read a lot of reviews on line to find a good replacement. I am a graphic artist and web designer so I need a high resolution scanner. The v600 had great write ups and I liked the idea of LED lights for their brilliance and life. The setup was easy and I was surprised to get Photoshop elements included. A nice touch, but I already have Photoshop 5.5. it integrated well into Photoshop and Omnipage OCR program. I'm looking forward to experimenting with all the features, especially the slide and negative scanning. The speed of the scans is also a big plus.

The scanner works flawlessly and performs beautiful scans. I like the control that the native software gives. I send many fewer scans to Photoshop for corrections. I've had several other more expensive scanners, but the Perfection V600 Photo beats them all.

Scanner replaces a 12 year old Epson and this one has a sharper scan with great resolution. Easy to setup and running in 10 minutes,

Exceeded my expectations

I purchased this photo scanner to convert old slides from the 1960"s into photos. It did a fabulous job - the colors came out vibrant and the pictures are sharp after all these years. I expect it will do just as well with restoring old family photos based on my experience so far. Very pleased!

My wife decided to produce a 60th anniversary book for her parents which required scanning about 300 older photos. I thought it would require weeks of work just for the scanning. I received the scanner on Wednesday and by Friday I was done working a few hours a day. I am impressed with the results and have only scratched the surface of its abilities. I have not tried it with transparencies yet. I am very pleased.

I have made nearly 400 images since I've gotten this V600 scanner and I am very pleased with the ease of which I can use the various functions available for making images from film negatives, slides, and photographic prints (color or b&w). The color correction available through color restoration, back lighting, brightness, contrast, and color adjustment is quit straightforward. Also, color restoration brings back snap to faded b&w prints as well. The four buttons on the front of the scanner make those functions a very simple task to perform also.
This scanner does all that it is advertised to do and does it well. I would highly recommend this scanner to any one looking for a highly capable scanner.
