Glad I bought this!

The scanner works flawlessly and performs beautiful scans. I like the control that the native software gives. I send many fewer scans to Photoshop for corrections. I've had several other more expensive scanners, but the Perfection V600 Photo beats them all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Scanner replaces a 12 year old Epson and this one has a sharper scan with great resolution. Easy to setup and running in 10 minutes,

Exceeded my expectations

I purchased this photo scanner to convert old slides from the 1960"s into photos. It did a fabulous job - the colors came out vibrant and the pictures are sharp after all these years. I expect it will do just as well with restoring old family photos based on my experience so far. Very pleased!

My wife decided to produce a 60th anniversary book for her parents which required scanning about 300 older photos. I thought it would require weeks of work just for the scanning. I received the scanner on Wednesday and by Friday I was done working a few hours a day. I am impressed with the results and have only scratched the surface of its abilities. I have not tried it with transparencies yet. I am very pleased.

I have made nearly 400 images since I've gotten this V600 scanner and I am very pleased with the ease of which I can use the various functions available for making images from film negatives, slides, and photographic prints (color or b&w). The color correction available through color restoration, back lighting, brightness, contrast, and color adjustment is quit straightforward. Also, color restoration brings back snap to faded b&w prints as well. The four buttons on the front of the scanner make those functions a very simple task to perform also.
This scanner does all that it is advertised to do and does it well. I would highly recommend this scanner to any one looking for a highly capable scanner.

Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner

Bought the V600 to scan a bunch of old pictures, slides and negatives. i'm using this with an iMac. Set up was very easy, just went to the Epson web site to download the Mac driver, loaded it up, plugged in, went to applications folder, clicked on the Epson scan icon and i was in business. There are different modes within the Epson scan config pop up but i mainly used full auto mode for now. i scanned negatives and 35mm slides using the adapters that were included, checked the box for film vs photo in the config file and clicked scan. done. pretty good looking pictures from both the slides/negatives. i'm very pleased. i haven't tried using a third party scanning software as of yet but if that is better that using what i have now, i'll be happier yet. this was well worth the purchase if you are an amateur to scanning (i am), and this was very easy to set up with great results.

Epson Perfection V600 Scanner

This scanner produces excellent results for copying documents, photographs, and film from 35 mm to medium format. Operating modes range from the quick and simple fully Automatic to Professional mode allowing a wide range of controls over the final results. I am presently scanning my large collection of Hasselblad transparencies dating from 1974. I control the scanner through Photoshop CS. This scanner, in the professional mode, performs excellently and the resulting digital images require little or no manipulation in Photoshop.
