Epson V600 is a blast

Hands down the best scanner I have owned. The clarity is amazing and the color reproduction is right on. Being able to scan at very high % give you the ability to produce posters from tiny pictures. I scanned color slides from an old slide set and made 13 X 19 inch posters that were perfect reproductions. I like the fact that you can set up the software interface to be simple or as intricate as you want. perfect for beginners or experts.

Nice scanner

I've only used it for a week or so and find it easy to use and it does a great job of scanning. I've used the film scanning feature on 2.5x2.5 film and it does a good job. The only thing is the neg. holders are not made very strong. It seems a bit slow in scanning, but then it may be the settings I'm using .
All in all it does a nice job, and it came with a nice photo program. I think you can't go wrong with this scanner.

New but good so far

We just got this scanner, but it installed easily and is WAY faster than our older Epson 3170. The old one worked well but this is an upgrade with at least as many possibilities. Will know more after more testing, but so far so good! Feels solid and slightly lighter than the old one.

Awesome scanner!

After trying to scan some negatives on another scanner that was meant for 35mm, I bought the V600 as I needed a unit that would handle some medium format negatives from the 50s. The negatives were in pretty bad shape with lots of scratches, dirt and who knows what on them. I selected the Digital ICE option when scanning and I have to say it is a magical! I thought I'd have to spent hours trying to fix the images up to a decent state for printing, but I don't have to do anything! Thanks Epson!

Epson Perfection V600 good for slide scans

I purchased this scanner so that I could scan old photos that were developed on slides.
Using this scanner, I have been able to scan the slides and use the digital images online, etc.
The scanner comes with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.
There is a template that you use to place four slides at a time onto the scanner.
It does take a while to scan, but the scanner process isn't hard.

Perfection in Scanning

I recently purchased the Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner for my home office, I currently have the V500 at work and love the LED technology that lets me scan without the warm-up wait. The quality of the scans are outstanding. My primary purpose is for scanning film, 120 mm, 35 mm negatives and many, many 35 mm slides. The holders and transparency scanning capabilities of this scanner are really as the name says "Perfection" I have very little I have to do to a slide or to scanned film to clean them up or correct color, the scanner takes care of most of this for me making the overall process of scanning years worth of slides and film to a digital format to preserve our family memories a relatively quick and easy process.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Epson v600 has the right descriptor. I am overwhelmed at the clarity of the reproduction of my 35mm slides when they show up on my computer screen. It is very easy to place the slides on the scanner with the device provided. I have only 25 more trays of 140 slides to go and will enjoy every minute.
