Retrieving My Childhood

My Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner has allowed me to go through literally thousands of my late father's Kodachrome, Ektachrome and Agfachrome slides dating back to 1947 and transform them into very life-like digital files. It has allowed me to revive and relive my past and gain immense psychological benefits thereby. A purchase that has enhanced my self-knowledge. Thank you Epson.

I'm really liking my Epson V600 Scanner

I bought the scanner to scan my paintings. It does a great job of that. But, to my surprise, it also does a very nice job of scanning my slides and film. The only film I've had trouble scanning is very narrow film strips. Not an expert on the old film types, so not sure what size I'm talking about, but I know the film is from the 70's. But on the slides and wider film it does a very nice job.

Excellent scanner!

I've used the V600 scanner to make copies of my father's WWII letters and documents (over 1000 and still counting) as well as his pictures, negatives and slides from the 1930's thru the 1960's. The scanner has performed very well with all of the images and documents; I've been very impressed with its flexibility. The fact that it also comes with OCR software has made it much easier to search documents that were typed or published; that has been a big plus. I would recommend this to anyone.

Always loved Epson products. This V600 Photo scanner is performing nicely. Software takes a bit more browsing, to find the right settings for saving images, but I'll train myself! I'll give it 4 stars, and reserve 5 for better software. Actually, the previous versions were easier to use.

V-600 LED (EPSON)

LED, this is a very good move in the right direction. With LED there is no wait time for the bulb to warm up. It helps you get right to work immediately, and there is not a chance of color inconsistency. If you need a wallet size or an 8x10, it will scan it easily. If you are scanning slides, from 120/220 down to 135mm, the V-600 will get it done. 5 stars for this baby! It is Perfect.

This is a great scanner. Bought another for our second home. Set up is a piece of cake and usage is straight forward and easy. No disappointment here or struggling with leaning a new piece of office equipment. A win all the way.

I've only been using my Epson V600 for about 3 weeks, so I'm still learning. So far I've been very pleased with how easy it is to use and the quality of the scanning. I've used it to import old photos, many old slides, several antique (125 year old) photographs and a couple of recent documents. The only problem I've had was when I attempted to scan in multiple forty year-old black and white photos. Even when spacing them at least as far apart as instructed, I've had several instances where the scanner read them as color prints and scanned two at time as a single file. While not the end of the world it was a bother. Other than that the unit has worked flawlessly and I'm very happy with it. It's doing all that I hoped for and then some. I should mention that I haven't scanned any negatives yet, but I suspect that will go smoothly as well.
