Excellent scanner!

I've used the V600 scanner to make copies of my father's WWII letters and documents (over 1000 and still counting) as well as his pictures, negatives and slides from the 1930's thru the 1960's. The scanner has performed very well with all of the images and documents; I've been very impressed with its flexibility. The fact that it also comes with OCR software has made it much easier to search documents that were typed or published; that has been a big plus. I would recommend this to anyone.

Epson = Excellence

Always loved Epson products. This V600 Photo scanner is performing nicely. Software takes a bit more browsing, to find the right settings for saving images, but I'll train myself! I'll give it 4 stars, and reserve 5 for better software. Actually, the previous versions were easier to use.

V-600 LED (EPSON)

LED, this is a very good move in the right direction. With LED there is no wait time for the bulb to warm up. It helps you get right to work immediately, and there is not a chance of color inconsistency. If you need a wallet size or an 8x10, it will scan it easily. If you are scanning slides, from 120/220 down to 135mm, the V-600 will get it done. 5 stars for this baby! It is Perfect.

This is a great scanner. Bought another for our second home. Set up is a piece of cake and usage is straight forward and easy. No disappointment here or struggling with leaning a new piece of office equipment. A win all the way.

I've only been using my Epson V600 for about 3 weeks, so I'm still learning. So far I've been very pleased with how easy it is to use and the quality of the scanning. I've used it to import old photos, many old slides, several antique (125 year old) photographs and a couple of recent documents. The only problem I've had was when I attempted to scan in multiple forty year-old black and white photos. Even when spacing them at least as far apart as instructed, I've had several instances where the scanner read them as color prints and scanned two at time as a single file. While not the end of the world it was a bother. Other than that the unit has worked flawlessly and I'm very happy with it. It's doing all that I hoped for and then some. I should mention that I haven't scanned any negatives yet, but I suspect that will go smoothly as well.

Good Product Easy to use

Three complaints that I have. The plastic tray that holds the 35mm negatives should have a hinge so that it can swing down and not snap in, it does not always "snap in" very easily. Also application on the desktop should stay open until all the rolls are done, it keeps closing in full auto mode and not in custom mode. This requires minimizing all the windows to scan another 8 negatives which is kind of a pain. Third get people that speak English for customer support, I called once and pretty much came to the conclusion that I was on my own to figure this product out.

I bought my Epson photo scanner back in 2012, I've scanned everything from old black & white photo's to negative film sizes 110, 120, 126, & 35mm. In total created 4,623 jpg files from the scans I performed, the scanner is still going strong, and I've never had a problem
