I am amazed at how much detail it pulls out of the old photos, when scanned at 1200 dpi. Would buy again and recommend to friends and family.

Quick and Easy

While I haven't had the V600 very long, it is easily superior to every other scanner I have ever owned - and most I have ever used. It works as advertised and doesn't hide the resulting files. Best of all, the quality is terrific, it's pretty quick, and if I need to touch up a photo, Photoshop Elements 9 is right there. It's hard to find anything to complain about. I guess I do have to figure out how to keep up with the different masks.

This is the best scanner I have ever owned. It is easy to use, minimal instruction needed, and fast. We use this for copying old family photographs with our genealogy research. It restores color, removes dust, and provides great copies for touch-ups. The slide copier works flawlessly. I highly recommend this product.

Installed in a flash and was scanning photos within minutes. Does a good job scanning and is fairly quick, even with a higher resolution setting.

Perfection v600 works

This scanner replaced a much older Epson, the main reason was that the older programming would not work well with Win Office 2007. It is mainly used by my father,(79yrs young) to send attachments with his emails to all the grand-kids. The one button scan to email really makes it easy for him to do so. I use it for scanning in old 35mm negatives the family shot years ago. It's a really nice scanner that is versatile enough to fit most needs.

I have owned scanners in the past, but this one is so much faster and easier to use. There was alittle trial and error, but I've scanned several hundred negatives and pictures with good sucess. The only issue is when scaning B&W negatives, I need to open up another software to modify the images ( ie change brightness/contrast) Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

The scanner itself is made well and works great, howvever the "DIGTAL ICE" software function for slides has a lot to be desired. It causes most sildes with dark lines and darker lighting to become deformed. At one point it caused the software not to even reconize the scanner. Had to restart the program for the scanner to function again. Scan slides without the "DIGTAL ICE" function and have had no problems at this point. Have not tryed it with photos yet. The slide tray could have a better way of getting the slide out of the tray. If you dont have good finger nails you can not get them back out of the tray with out removing the tray and removing the slides from the glass. There is a notch to recover the slides on the tray but it is of little use. Seems there could be a tray cover like the film stips have so you could load and remove the slide easyer. In short the "DIGTAL ICE" is not as that great as you are lead to belive. There is room for improvement on the slide trays however the scanner dose a great job itself and if you can get around the little problems it is a great scanner.

this scanner is beyond awesome. I just had to replace my Epson Perfection 2450 after 10 years of faithful service. I was sad to part with it, but my new Epson Perfection V600 has exceeded my expectations. I love how it saves a scanned image directly to my files.
