like other hardware items i have purchased, there is always a learning curve. i take it all scanners are some what slow, but i should figure out the most efficient ways to operate the scanner. Good scanner, maybe great as I get to know it with use. The investment is worthwhile. i have thousands and thousands of photo, slides and negatives. Do I have the time to actually capture them to a digital format? Epson has given me the tool to start and find out.

Great for my Art obsession

I use this to track my daily art project, drawing, painting, etc. for small formats this is better than photographing and putting on a website. excellent color balancing when used with Adobe lightroom or the included Photoshop essentials

Absolute Life Saver!

I have thousands of negatives both 35mm and medium format that I have not been able to print throughout the years. Some are personal, but the majority of my negatives are professional works I've had in galleries. The Espon V600 scanned my images with absolute clarity and resolution beyond my expectations. I am absolutely grateful I bought this scanner. My PC died 2 days ago and just bought an iMAC 27" screen. Can't wait to scan my work on my new computer!

The V600 does a great job scanning. But I can only scan two photo's, if I put three photo's in the V600 two of the photo's get combined to make one photo. This never happened to the V500!!! Gets very frustrating!!

Quick review: I own the R2880 printer and the V600 scanner. I am a retired photographer and have had the pleasure of Using Epson products for the past several years. Closed darkroom, relyon this equipment for my continued Street and Documentary photography. Priced right, professional perfection. Quick response to orders, No Problems with either piece of equip. Would and do highly recommend Epson

Epson V600

This scanner worked for my project. I have a Windows 7 system. The directions are poor and lack good information. You will have to just plug it in and figure it out for yourself, for the most part. The negative holders are plastic, weak, poorly made, and fragile; they are adequate, barely; you will say, 'What were 'they' thinking?'
All in all, it is a good scanner. I'm happy with it.
