I use this scanner to scan 120 film for my fine art photography. It has been great. The only thing that I wish is that the film holder went across the glass the short way, so I would not have to cut my negative since I use the entire film as one negative and choose my images when I scan them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Scanner

Actually I have had this scanner for 8 years. I have used it to digitize over 3000 of my 35mm slides. It takes a while at 4 at a time, but I think the results were very good. All resulted in pictures that look great on my 24" monitor.
It also does a great job scanning in old photos and documents of any kind. Most look better than the original! I use it as my copy machine as well.
Worked fine with Win Vista, Win XP, Win 7, 8 and now Windows 10. Not bad at all.

Black & White negs not good

Can't get good resolution scanning black and white film negs in Professional mode. The only way I have been able to scan them is use Full Auto/Color Positive Film, and I get a negative image, which I then have to invert in PS to get a positive pic. Transparencies have been decent overall, but not happy with B&W negative film scans.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just bought the Perfection V600 last week, mostly for home use. It meets all my needs and exceeds them. Excellent scanning performance and easy-to-use software. I can recommend it for anyone whose needs consist of a combination of personal and light business use.

The scanner does most of what I need. The guide is not great but I was able to figure out most things. I scanned photos, slides and negatives

Exciting features!

This Scanner has the same features as it's 15 year old processor but with so many more features!
I am looking forward to cleaning up old slides and prints and improving some photos. I am hopeful it will last half as long as my previous one, that was only outdated by my change in operating system (4 generations of changes since I bought it!)

Love this scanner

Did past scanning with my HP printer/scanner---a cumbersome, lengthy, and less than adequate procedure. Scans with HP were NOT true to color and it took forever. The Epsom machine scans quickly, with good results. Since I am still learning, what I would like to be able to do is edit a little bit more before scanning---I am either not smart enough to do that yet, or that is beyond it's limitations. Would definitely recommend this unit to an "amateur" scanner.
