Works fantastic!

I am a genealogist and previously had owned 2 AIO printers in two years because the unit(s) couldn't handle the minimum amount of copying & printing I was doing. Then I inherited 15 boxes of family photos & documents. When the 3rd AIO broke down after a marathon of scanning, I researched and bought the Epson scanner. It works perfectly! I was able to scan 400 photos in a day without one single problem! There are 4 different scan choices from "just push the button" to professional grade. Choice of labeling the photos and where to store them, automatic color-correction, clean-up options, cropping of photos. The scanned photos and documents have come out clean and sharp. I couldn't be happier with the Epson results and work ability. The unit's size is also just right for storing on the average bookcase.

Worked for a while

I purchased this scanner this summer. It worked great for a while. Now it gets stuck and I have to move my mouse to wake it up. I have a lifetime of pictures to scan, worthless!

Brilliant Scanner

I bought this scanner about a month ago. Since then I have been scanning 35mm slides and negs, 2.25 transparencies and negs 4-6 hours every day. (Retirement is grand!). The scanner has performed flawlessly, producing beautiful digital files every time.
I have not used the digital Ice feature nor the auto color adjustments, so I can't speak to them. I found the sharpening feature to be over sharpened on the pre-set "Manual" setting, but have lovely results on the "Low" setting.
I was a professional photographer for 30+ years with images in multiple stock photo agencies, so I have a collection of images to scan that's going to take me some considerable length of time (don't worry . . . I don't plan to scan them all). If this scanner continues to perform as well as it has so far, I will be very happy. Actually, if it doesn't last through 30,000 scans, I would probably buy another one just like it. At this price point, it would absolutely be worth it.
My only complaint and the reason for not giving 5 stars, is that the instructions are so poor. The "owner's manual/ instructions" is so convoluted and difficult to follow that it's worthless to all intents and purposes. If it weren't for U-Tube videos, I think I would still be figuring out how to use this scanner.

It scans stuff. Sometimes messes up, takes forever, occasionally puts blue/yellow/red lines down my scans, annoying to clean, sounds like R2D2.
Still good.

Stellar photo scanner

This is a very versitile scanner. I like being able to load up the flatbed with prints and designate the print area for each along with individually noting which are scanned with various enhancements. The negative scanning is not quite as easy and both the directions and negative holders could be improved (and perhaps have on the newer models). The scans are reasonably quick (except if one uses high resolution which may be needed for negatives but not for prints). There are a few issues that prevent a 5 star rating. The scanner does no scan the entire flatbed, so one has to be very careful when placing prints on it to be scanned. It can be quite annoying having to reposition to get the print scanned edge to edge. Document scanning is not as easy as on other scanners. The preview gives you a false impression that the document will not scan correctly unless one boosts brightness and or contrast.

Epson V600 Photo Scanner

When scanning multiple photos the thumbnails works well 90+% of the time.
Occasionally it will combine 2 or more photos into one thumbnail. No matter how you rearrange the photos, you can clear the multiple photos in one thumbnail.
I end up having to turn the scanner off and restarting.
Other than than that one problem, scanner has been working great with over 600 photos, newspaper clippings (saved as PDFs)l scanned.

Acurate & high quality scans

I purchased this 2 months ago specifically to scan slides (old) to digital photo files so that I could produce video slide shows on DVDs to give ease of viewing and to save quality of photos. I only wish I could scan more that 4 slides at a time. The scan involves a preview and then 6 slide corrections options which send scanned digital results to a computer folder designated. I then follow up with additional correction software, Perfectly Clear V3 and or Adobe Photoshop

Photos Great, Film no so great

Scanned in about 200 images of all sorts, negatives both B&W and color, slides and photos. Photos and slides are easy but negatives are a real pain. the rack used for negatives is difficult to get to hold the negative and doesnt seem to keep it flat. no experience with any other film scanner so i cant compare it to anything else.
