Great - so glad I picked this one

I replaced a scanner (from a different MFR) and this is just so much better. I love all the options that come with it. The Professional mode is great. And it finds what I want to select iin preview mode correctly. Our old scanner often had the marquee around only part of the image and had to be fixed. This one gets it right. Plus it brightened up the background on dingy white paper I was scanning.
The difference between a scan on this and on the old sccanner is amazing. Nice bright, true colors.

Have had the V600 for about 10 days. My advice, take your time to learn how to use and you will be pleased. I wish using ICE was faster but the slowness is probably as much to do with my computer as the V600. I have found Home Mode/color/printer/300 DPI/4x6 to be the bast for putting slides through the scanner. I use color correct as my slides are 50 years old; I only use ICE if I have a batch of dusty slides. With the above settings, not counting ICE, I can scan four slides in 4 minutes overall. If ICE is on then the time total is 7.5 minutes.

Had to replace an old Epson 1650 scanner because it was not compatible with my latest system. I used the old Epson for photo scanning, slide scanning, and negative scanning. I have only used the V600 for a few photos, but my experience with Epson scanners has always been great. I expect my satisfaction to continue as the years go by with this one.

I was able to start making copies of my pictures and slides half an hour after unpacking the V600. The software disk downloaded easily on Windows 7 and using the "getting started sheet" made the transition to copies effortlessly. I have half slides from the 60's and early 70's and they came out with surprisingly good quality. It is a slow process however since only four slides can be scanned at one time. I have no experience with other photo copiers but can recommend this unit.

This is the 3rd Epson scanner I've had and I am very pleased with it. They each have been easy to use for a variety of scanning tasks and have produced fine results. Each has been a truly improved device. I especially like having a physical on/off switch on the scanner and the error code info there a help too.

Great Scanner

Just got this and it is simple to set up and simple to use. I haven't read the instructions yet but have performs simple Auto scans and was impressed wit the results. Much easier than the one it replaced. Will be using it more after reading how to perform trickier scans.

I bought this about a month ago. I have been happy with the product. I only use it for scanning photos. I can scan 5 at one time which is a great time saver. However, you do have to make sure the pictures are separated with a reasonable space or it will scan as one. The scratch repair does not work on the photos. I've had some really bad pictures and it really cannot repair them at all. But all in all I am happy with it. I would recommend buying this. I wish I had negatives to try on it, but I don't.
