Incredible Scanner

It does it all and it does a great job. Two very minor improvements. It would be nice to be able to set a new "default" on where to save files (you currently have to change between each pdf). The second improvement needed is that if you do not close the cover slowly on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, the paper will sometimes float on the glass and not be aligned (square) when scanned. Otherwise, love it and already have recommended to several people.

This a special scanner. I wanted a good slide or film scanner that was easy to operate. In the V600 I was very impressed with the ease of operation. The dust removal and color restoration really saved a lot of time in post corrections needed. Digital Ice technology is great for removing trash from slides.

I am 92 years old and living in a retirement home. I use this scanner in many ways. I have used it to copy old pictures from negative film both black and white and colored. I have many colored slides and photographs that I am coping to my computer. I would recommend this scanner to anyone that wants to copy old photographs or other things that need to be reproduced or stored.

Flexible scanner

I purchased this scanner because I wished to digitize a large number of old photographs (prints and negatives) that had been taken over a span of 70+ years to record family and family business activities. The scanner has worked well, even with some larger format film negatives that the supplied frames won't hold. I've also scanned a large number of family documents, and I've been very pleased with all of the results.

Great Scanner

Easy to use right out of the box. Replaced my old hi-grade Epson scanner from 1999.
It works FAST even at 600 dpi. The what-are-you-doing box is intuitive and easy.
Only draw back is that a loose, small item is hard to position on the glass because of the removable hold down.

I have enjoyed using the Epson photo scanner which has enabled me to store all of my negatives, slides and pictures to disc for preservation purposes. The only slight complaint is if you do not perfectly align the negatives or slides they will be cropped when scanning. Outside of that, a wonderful product!

Product was everything I was looking for in a scanner. It does an amazing job with negatives. I have some very old ones that I didn't think would be clear at all, but they came out great. Slides work just as well. We have a lot of slides that are at least 45 years old and have the way now to preserve the pictures. So glad I made this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who has pictures, slides, newspaper articles, etc that you want to preserve.
