From a V500 to a V600 Photo Scanner

My V500 Scanner is perfectly OK but in any event I bought the V600 anticipating the same excellent results with faster response time. It met those expectations. While I have not yet run it through all it's paces, their may be more pleasant surprises to come.
There are still a few simple opportunities for improvements. The issues remain about the same when compared with the V500. They are:
* Make the User Guide fully printable from the start to avoid having to separately print each section.
* Increase the size of the Button Icons and also Illuminate them.
* The Software Menus should be better connected and more intuitive.
Those changes will make an excellent scanner outstanding.

Got a great deal, got it fast, got it hooked up and working quick. Only 2 problems- 1 - OCR software interface with MS Office Suite 2013, resolved easily with removal of OCR software. Now no OCR scan available, but I don't usually use that and can use in on another computer with earlier version of MS Office Suite. 2 - Manual did not clearly list my "multiple photo scan" issue, but help line directed me to info in manual. Just couldn't find it easily.
Works great, thank you for another excellent Epson product!

V600 Photo Scanner

The V600 photo scanner I purchase was to replace my old Epson Perfection 4490 photo scanner that I bought ten years ago, that just started to malfunction. I had such good experience with 4490, that I bought V600 to replace it. The designs are very similar, with suitable updates, but exactly the same size and foot print. They are so similar in size, that I slipped the old 4490 into the packaging material of V600, and sent it back to Epson for recycling (for free). I have not used the V600 much, but expect the same good expereince I had with 4490.

Nearly Perfect

I wanted a better scanner than my dependable older Minolta Dimage for slides and negatives, and my all-in-one printer/scanner had died just before we moved to a new home. So far, this unit has done a wonderful job, except it keeps adding a flaw on 35mm slides at one location, but the glass is clean, so I cannot figure out why. Fortunately it is at the edge of the negative holder, so if I just move the strip down a bit, it works fine. I do like the very high resolution that is available.

Excellent Scanner

This scanner is excellent for scanning all types of photographs and documents. Not having to wait for it to warmup before using is a great feature. I have my personal machine and have put one in at our family history center where we find it easy to teach patrons how to use.
