Does not work with the latest windows 10 upgrade

This problem has been going on for over six months with no end in sight. And applies to most of the Epson scanners. Prior to the Windows upgrade I would have given this scanner at 10. Somebody needs to fix this soon.

the Epson drivers do not work with the 64 bit MAC OS. Yes, you can still use the scanner but the interface and is not the same. Digital ICE is replaced by another separate app. I am hoping for updated drivers but they have had plenty of time to update.

Mac users beware

This scanner does not work as intended with Mac OS X operating system. cannot use the Epson software and must use the Image Capture native to the operating system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson V600 Photo Scanner

My winter project is going to be to digitize all the photo prints, slides and negatives that I've accumulated in 59 years. I chose this scanner based on others' reviews and it has certainly met my expectations. Now that I've figured out the negative and color slide accessories I'm very satisfied with the results. You can't go wrong for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was my first purchase of a scanner. I bought the Epson after reading many reviews. Overall I'd rate it average.
I figure the Epson is about on par with other scanners in its price range, so I didn't ask for a refund.
The scanner does a good job with photographs ... on its own terms. If one tries to tweak the results of its scans, it may be frustrating.
There are various quality levels one may strive for concerning a particular picture/digital file, but too often it is the scanner that will determine what settings are best.
With that in mind, any attempt to improve the quality is frequently met with bad outcomes: smeared areas on the photo.
The "Perfection" is not that: it is average. Don't ask too much of it.
I figure the Epson is about on par with other scanners in its price range, so I didn't ask for a refund.

I'm using this scanner for home photos and although the quality is good, it's much too slow as I can only scan one photo at a time. I have tooooo many to scan and it's taking forever.

I could not get the scanner to work with Windows 8.1 I went to Epson webiste to download drivers and software but my computer still would not recognize the scanner. I spent 3 hous trying to install the scanner. In all fairness, I don't know if it was my computer or the scanner. I had to return the scanner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson V600

I and using an iMac with the latest operating system installed. I must admit that there were a few glitches getting the scanner to work. However, now that it is working pretty durn well I love this scanner. My wife's parents lived the last of their 11 years with us. The old fella was 102 when he passed. We finally started going through the boxes, and boxes of goods they brought with them and we came across a couple of large boxes of photos, black and white and color as well as over a thousand slides. So I have been scanning all these memories and my wife is sending copies to her brothers. Most of the pics have not been seen by family in 30 40 years so they are all thrilled and I am a hero - thanks to this V600 scanner. It just works wonders separating pics all put on the screen together and plotting them in a folder individually neat as you please. Thank you Epson for this great machine. If it were to die I would get another right away.
