This scanner meets all my needs for my high quality photo and slide scans. More importantly, I had a problem where my computer corrupted the scan program and Epson's unbelievable support team spent 40 minutes on the phone with me to figure out and repair the problem. You cannot buy that kind of service. It takes the people to make it!

Great scanner, LED technology, if your professional demands aren't too demanding, this scanner is perfect. The LED technology is great, no warm up time, just turn it on and it is ready to go. Draw back, it can only do one strip of 120 at a time, and it won't do 4x5 or larger. The price is great, the scanner is more valuable than the price suggest, worth every dollar.

I'm scanning all my mother-in-law's pictures from EONS ago, including her yellow, and faded wedding pictures and this scanner blow me away every day! With just a few edits, the pictures look like they could have been taken yesterday. I couldn't be happier, and so will my mother-in-law when she gets a memory drive with all her pictures cataloged for Christmas. BRAVO Epson!

The V600 is providing me with superb scanns and the ability to improve the image in post process. Prints, slides, and negatives are easy to scan.

So far I have been able to scan 1950's black & white negatves and it's done a great job of doing that at a speedy pace. I have not scannned anything else yet. I like that you can put 4 at a time and it singles them out for you. The negatives that I have scanned have been reverted to a positive image in Picasa.

Epson Perfection V-600 photo

To early to review this scanner. Just purchased couple week's ago. I like the quality of the scan's. I hope it last longer than the last two Epson scanners. I'm disappointed that the scanners don't last long. I own Epson perfection 3170 and V-500 photo scanners. Neither one is working now. Thanks to Epson for giving me price break on this scanner which makes me feel better. I hope Epson improves registration window form / buttons and make them more visible, so that I do not stumble several times to go back and try to register the product.

Beautiful scans

Con's:
1. long set up (took me 1 ½ hours to get it working, running Yosemite on an iMac. Required long software downloads, searching for updated drivers on the Epson web site, and multiple failed attempts to scan before I "got it." (The hard-wiring was easy.)
2. Long scan time. I bought this to digitize 35 mm operative photos; I have hundreds to scan, but since it takes almost 4 minutes to scan 4 slides, I will need to set aside a lot of time for this task!
3..Although Photoshop Elements is included, it was not possible for me to scan directly to that application, despite explicit instructions and directions to the contrary.
Pro's:
1. The scanned images are gorgeous, and publication-worthy
2. Photoshop Elements is included!
For one or two slides at a time, this scanner would be terrific. The scan quality is excellent and document copies were superb. It will be too slow for the work I need to do --

great for photography. My family photos from 1930 are very clear and I can make copies for family of the one and only photo of family members. I was pleasantly surprised to see I can make prints from the negatives, amazing.
Fast, easy to use, easy setup. I am thrilled with this scanner. I was also very appreciative of Adobe photoshop that was included, Oh my what a difference to my photos. I can do so much more.
The sky is the limit.
