The instructions that came with this machine consist only of a one page "quick start" type manual. I had to download the software for my lion 10.7 MacBook from the epson website. The one page manual tells me that there is a "perfection V600 User Guide" on the desktop, but it is not there. After downloading the software and installing, I followed the steps outlined on the one page manual to plug in, connect to computer, turn on and scan. I pressed the scan button, but nothing happens. I have wasted much time and money on this project in light of the fact that this machine is not working as I was led to believe it would

Epson V600

I hesitated to setup the V600 scanner until I was forced to use it to make a copy of a photo to email. Boy was I wrong to wait to setup the unit. I setup the scanner with no effort and was up and running in no time! Scan was great and the unit was very easy to use. Don't hesistate to buy or setup.

nightmare film carrier

Just got this scanner but have already scanned over 200 images. So far using mostly auto settings as User-guide has been of little or no use - goes on about the obvious and not much further. Still, my REAL COMPLAINT is the CHEESY plastic film neg carrier that snaps apart and then back together. What junk to have supplied with this scanner and what a horrible waste of my time !

MS Office 2010

Just learned one touch buttons are not compatible with MS Outlook 2010- Can't one touch email, must save as a pdf file then attach the document to email.

Epson V600 scanner

Everything went pretty smooth until I got to the scanning part doing negatives from a Brownie camera. But after a few hit and misses, It is working well. I have maybe 500 negatives to scan.
I would recommend this to a friend!

IMac install with no DVD PLAYER

As a novice with Apple, it would have been nice if you had a easy separate instruction for install. I hope I got thee Adobe elements correct.

Good for prints not for slides

If you are like me, you have tons of slides. The unit does not provide adequate digitized files for them. digital files of prints are good. I ended up buying a slide and film digitizer for my slides.
