Poor Quality Control

V600 Scanner arrived as promised. Followed all instructions for installation. Scanner did not power up. Checked all connections, still would not power up. Checked power cord and all plugs......still did not power up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well, I have changed my mind about the v600.
After spending more time with it I finally got it to working properly. I am very impressed with how well it renders my old photos. The film scan feature
Is awesome. I have two issues with the machine
That if corrected would earn it a 5 star. It only takes one film size. My mom had about 4 different cameras over the years going back to the 1930's
And I have old negetives in boxes and some
Are larger and some smaller than the negative film holders included with the v600. Also, the software does not accommodate the odd size negative film sizes as it accommodates odd size photos. The other issue is the need to click
on the Epson printer icon each time I scan something, because the button on the machine won't do it

NO APPLE SUPPORT

After 5+ years Epson still will not write software/firmware for Apple Mac. If you want epson scanners, seach first for Hamrick software so your scanner does what it is supposed to do.

I love this scanner!

I bought this photo scanner to scan some 35mm slides. I love the way it is easy to use. It has built in software to enhance the images while you scan the image and it has a photo editor to further enhance the images. A little patience is required because it scans 4 slides at a time. When you are working with sentimental images, it's worth the time spent. This scanner is also reasonably priced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No instruction booklet is inside box.
Just one sheet of how to use paper.
Taking so long. Many questions but where can I get help if there’s no instruction.

So Far so Good

I did not give this 5 stars because I haven't used the transparency feature yet. The rest of the functions are working well. Easy to hook up. I did have to download the driver for MAC 10.9.
I would recommend this to a friend!

MS Outlook stopped working

First looks the scanner seems fine But MS Outlook no longer works. WINDOWS 10 My old scanner worked ok on this set up a V500.
