Drys nicely!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer and have used it less than 10 times. Seems to really fluff the clothes and they come out wrinkle free with NO STEAM. I'm still working on the STEAM part. It doesn't connect to the water source. There's a small pan that has to be manually filled. What a surprise!

Destroys clothes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG DLEX3370W dryer uses the ADQ56656401 LG Dryer Lint Filter. This Filter sits in the MCK49049101 LG Cover, guide. The dryer with this filter was purchased April 2016. The dryer is three months old and I investigated this issue due to the dryer destroying one of my shirts. The Filter does not seal within the Cover guide and causes lint to build up in the bottom of the Cover guide. Every time the Lint Filter is removed, more lint is left in the bottom of the Cover Guide. As you see the Filter only has a screen on one side. This is a serious design flaw that allows air to escape past the non-screen side of the filter within the Cover guide. The small space between the non-screen side of the Filter and the Cover Guide becomes a filter in its own right. The lint trapped here is left in the bottom of the Cover guide to build up over time. The Cover guide actually has raised plastic tabs within the bottom of the Cover guide that is designed to cause the Filter to snap into the cover guide and be held securely in place. This securing method is terribly inadequate at keeping the Filter securely in the Cover guide as the top of the filter is constantly protruding out the top of the Cover guide and snaring and destroying clothing. The raised plastic tabs in the bottom of the Cover guide are very effective at opening the gap at the bottom and dumping lint into the bottom of the Cover guide, as the Lint Filter is removed. Lint will always build up in the bottom of the Cover guide of any LG washer that uses this filter. You must, on a very regular basis clean out the bottom of the Cover guide to minimize how much the Filter protrudes out the top of the Cover guide. The fit of the Filter within the Cover guide is horrible enough, and some clothes WILL be snared by the protruding Filter and destroyed by the twisting that will ensue. You can only cross your fingers and keep the bottom of the Cover guide clean to minimize the damage. Best advise is not to buy any LG dryer that uses this design. The attached photo is the best fit you can expect from this filter. It is the famous right hand side photographed from the inside. The Cover guide and the Lint Filter have been cleaned of lint for this photo. The other photos show the gap between the Lint Filter and the Cover guide. I think I will try epoxying a neoprene rubber flap over this right side that will still allow the filter to be pulled and apply a neoprene rubber gasket to the inside of the Cover guide.

Worst dryer I have ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after our older model stopped working, ever since, even with a new lint trap, it does nothing but make me untangle a wad of laundry that gets tied together every five-ten minutes and tears straps off bras/tank tops, holes in regular shirts. I have warned everyone from friends to strangers i see looking at them in stores. TERRIBLE product. Even as I write this I threw away yet another shirt right before and am getting ready to untangle another wad of clothing.

Satisfied purchase

I did a lot of research before purchasing this dryer.
Ease of use: The dashboard looks complicated with all the features and options. Because the buttons don’t line up exactly with the dashboard, I thought I had to adjust the many options each time. Then I realized it’s actually very easy. Simply chose the fabric you’re drying (i.e. cotton, delicates, perm press) and the dryer adjusts the temperature, time and dry level. You are able to override these presets and add options such as easy iron, reduce static, etc.
Steam feature: I really wanted the steam function because I thought it would help with wrinkle care and having to iron less, but I don’t find that it’s the miracle I hoped for. You add some water to a small tub for the steam function which also provides static care as well. To test this feature, I put some wrinkled garments in the dryer and used the steam feature along with the wrinkle care function, but I still needed to iron the garments.
Maintenance: Upon installation, the installers installed an 6 foot semi-ridged ductwork for dryer venting even though my dryer sits inches from the venting area. The instructions state that ductwork should be short with the least amount of curves. It takes time to it fit it properly, so the installers just say that what they do is standard. Upon my first couple of drying loads, the Flow Sense was lit and an error code D80 was displayed. This means restricted airflow by 80%. I figured it was because of the wrong installation of the semi-ridged ductwork. I shorted the ductwork but the error code did not go away. When there is restricted airflow the dryer cannot work efficiently, loads take longer to dry and eventually the dryer will not run properly. Additionally, this is also a fire hazard. My house is over 20 years and I never thought about clogged ductwork leading to the outside. Once I cleaned the ductwork from the inside wall following it to out to the outside, this error went away. Over years the lint builds up and no one thinks about cleaning this. Since my old dryer was 20 years old and did not have sensors, I had no idea it was my ductwork was clogged to this extent. Please note, this is not the dryer’s fault or LG’s.
Sound: This dryer is fairly quiet
Quality: Door is sturdy and feels well built
Time to dry: Loads seem to dry quickly. The nice chime played at the end is helpful.
Over all I am pleased with the purchase I made. Since this is an older model, I received great deal. I am not sure why, but laundry is more fun.

Problems after 2 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one a couple months ago and loved it. You fill a plastic tray with filtered water for steam and refill every few loads as it gets empty. The steam feature works as a "static reducer" if you press a button to activate it. It isn't super-effective, but it's good enough. After about 2 months it stopped working. I fill the tray, turn it on, and one minute later it says the water is empty. Then I check it again, and it really is empty. The water isn't all over the floor, so I guess that must be going into the clothes.
For now, LG is sending a technician to check it out. But if this is what it's like after a couple months I'm very concerned about what will happen after the warranty expires.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the set and love them. I can't believe how fast a load is dried. I love the features like less static, and the reduced wrinkly setting that you can add an additional tumble if you aren't home to get the clothes out of the dryer immediately. It even plays a pleasant tune when it is finished.

I bought both washer and dryer in LG. I'm so happy with these 2 products. I did my research before I bought LG I have not been disappointed. They hardly use any detergent. They are quiet. This is the first time I have not owned a top loader and have no problem. I also remoldled my kitchen and have all new LG appliances.
