Many great features
on January 8, 2015

First front loader we ever had. Great features and many to choose from. Clothes come out much cleaner than with our brand name top loader. Uses considerably less water, soap & softener.
The only issue I have is the extra effort to keep mold/mildew from forming--which means lots of wiping entire areas dry. Never had to do this with the top loader as we always left the top cover up. When you have a back problem, leaning in & over to do a thorough wiping job can be painful.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings

Won't balance all the time
on October 13, 2014

The machine is designed to balance itself with large items but if I put 2 pair of jeans in it with other clothes I have to remove them so the machine will spin. This happens with other large items as well. Put 3 large sheets and 1 has to come out to let it spin.

Great washer but speed wash creates a problem
on April 28, 2015

This is a great overall washer. I had a similar LG model for 10 years and replaced it with this updated model. The only issue is that if you use the speed wash function which I did frequently with my old washer this new model shortens the wash time to 15 minutes with light soil. If you are using liquid detergent it's no problem but if you use the laundry pacs they do not have enough time to dissolve and you get a clump of the pod stuck to your clothes
Pros: easy to use, Quality

DON'T USE TOO MUCH DETERGENT!
on June 14, 2015

Anyone buying a front loader please beware. Use only 2 tablespoons of detergent in ALL front loaders or this will happen to you. I have LG TROMM Steam washer WM2688HNM since 2007 (was top of line then) and I wish someone had told me about detergent. I have never had any trouble with this washer but now because of detergent I have to replace with a different model. The only reason it bit the dust is because chemicals in detergent destroyed component in back of steel drum thus chipping off leaving rock like pieces in front filter.

Great washer - two minor issues
on February 19, 2015

I love the washer, but have two minor issues. 1. When washing bulking items, I have to rearrange the load to get it to balance. So, my complaint is about true balance. 2. There is no way to just spin a load.

Nice, but frustrated
on January 18, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For almost every use, this washer is wonderful. Getting used to this washer took some time, compared to the old washer, in terms of cycles and getting things comparably clean. This greatest frustration we have so far is that this has no wool/hand wash cycle. Selecting delicate and then manually changing spin to low and light soil still was too fast - 2 adult wool sweaters were ruined (agitation still too high on low spin) and are now child sized. Selecting no spin saved a wool sweater, but as can be imagined, it was soaking wet and took some time to air dry on a rack. My last frustration is that even though you can download different cycles for this model, there is no wool/hand wash cycle to choose from. Other models have this, why doesn't this one? For regular laundry - good choice. For wool - stay away!
Pros: easy to use

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will probably be the last LG product I ever purchase. I choose because LG is supposed to be a quality product. I have had this washer 1 year, 2 months and 20 days. Purchased on 2/20/16 and installed on 3/20/16 and used for 1 year, 2 months and 8 days. Today I find oil on the floor by the right front corner. I go to look at my warranty information to find that the full warranty expired 3 months and 8 days ago. IF it's the motor I have a little less than 9 years on the warranty BUT have to pay labor to have it fixed. IF it's not the motor, I have to pay for everything. Either way this is an expensive washer for only going 1 year without issues and now I will have to put out more money. This is a lot of money for a product to only last 1 year. There must be a serious issue to find oil on my floor after 1 year of using it. I am not a happy customer.
