If ever there was a movie made for BluRay this is it! Food and locations are so amazing and the digital soundtrack combines to bring the kitchens to life. Whether in BluRay or DVD the acting is superb, as one would expect from Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci. Jeremy Wheeler is never overshadowed as Julie Powell's husband.
Additional features bring us wonderful insights into the Julia Child story from family and friends as well as Smithsonian experts. For those of us unfortunate enough to have missed the Julia Child TV years, the movie and documentaries bring her to life so well that she has become reborn as an old friend.
What's great about it: A remarkable comedy drama
I would recommend this to a friend!

The movie was delivered in about a week - no problems there.
This is an excellent story about a young woman and her relationship with her husband, friends and work-mates as she goes about cooking all the recipes in Julia Child's cookbook. Simultaneously, the film tells the story of Julia Child and her relationship with her husband and friends as she writes her cookbook.
What's great about it: Excellent story (two actually), fine acting
What's not so great: drags a bit just before the ending
I would recommend this to a friend!

My mom and I went to see this movie over the summer. It was really nice that I was able to buy this for her online and ship it to her across the country.
What's great about it: Easy to pick out and Ship to my mom!
What's not so great: nothing

Fast delivery. I preordered before its release and it was here in a couple of days post release.
What's great about it: We received several different versions - Blu Ray, Conventional DVD, etc.

From the very start of the movie, there really wasn't any "plot" - I was VERY disapointed by Meryl Streeps performance - she worked to hard on the voice.The story line jumped around too much. I didn't finish watching it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was a good story and at times funny, but was fairly long and not much happening to the characters. I am sure that their lives were more exciting than was written for the film.
What's great about it: Good human story
What's not so great: Too long

Over all the movie is worth seeing.. Both Amy and Meryl did a Great Acting Job.. cute story.. I would say see it for your self, its worth Buying

I love true stories and this is a great one. If you like Julia Childs, you'll love this movie. So heart warming. I found out things about her that I never knew.
What's great about it: I love Julia Childs anyway so I knew I would love this movie. Also saw it in the theatre
