Product is fast. Installation was easy. If I had not had a Rewards discount, I could have bought the card cheaper.
What's great about it: Fast. Easy to install. Decent value.
What's not so great: Without my Rewards discount, could have beat the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Primary reason for building/modifying PC:Gaming
i purchased this online, received it about a week later (on time). put it in my system; system found the new hardware and installed the drivers. i visited the website and downloaded the latest drivers; rebooted my system and then realized my power supply was too small to power it (420w with 18amp draw on the +12vdc rail). so i bought a bigger, badder power supply (650w with 22amp draw) and this video card still wouldn't work on my system. in the long run i ended up having to return the video card and revert back to my 256mb nvidia video card.
as much as i love nvidia products for their quality and reliability and would recommend their product line to anyone and everyone; i can't honestly submit a ' yes i'd recommend to a friend' answer. what i can recommend is you do your homework to make sure a card of this type/size will work in your system.
What's great about it: unknown; returned product
What's not so great: incompatible with my system
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have an old system. Although it is old my system is plenty capable of running this card.
I wanted to upgrade my GeForce FX 5500 (BFG Tech) card. I bought this card switched them out and the 8400 GS performed significantly worse than my 6 year old 5500.
Check around online. A LOT of people have had problems with this card. Do not buy!
What's great about it: easy to install
What's not so great: terrible card, locks up, graphics pixilated
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
