Does the job!

I believe I bought this at Walmart a year ago and then later got the Cafe Barista*(see my review on this unit) and switched back to this single espresso maker. The coffee grounds don't come out wet like the other unit. If I had one complaint, well, a little one, the handle design doesn't make for easy gripping sometimes but I wrapped some of that grip material around it and that fixed the problem. Otherwise, I get a hot espresso when I want one and the frother works fine when I want a latte.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Value for the Price....EXCEPT...

I bought this product about 6 months ago. In general I love it. BUT about a month after I had been using it the plastic cover for the milk frother cracked. I have covered it with duct tape but would like to know how to get a replacement. Pictures attached.

I have that coffee machine since 5 years, and it makes a better coffee than a lot of expensive espresso machine

Cheap quality

The plastic holding the part for the basket broke and there is no proper replacement. I had to Gorilla Glue it to hold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife got this model of espresso maker for Father's Day. It's a simple design, but it makes pretty decent espresso. The milk frother works okay.

Good machine but causing trouble

I am on my second Mr. Coffee Steam Espresso. The first lasted several years, used every day. The second one is about 1 year old and has worked fine until this week. Water is leaking out of the coffee ground holder at the end of the brewing cycle. The coffee ground holder actually moves, loosening up - to allow the water to leak. When attaching the coffee ground holder, you have to move the handle to the right quite a bit to get a 'lock'.... but to do that, the plastic locking mechanism is not square with the top of the coffee maker. I suspect the gasket that the coffee ground holder links into is bad- although I have tried to clean it with a soft cloth and water. Any suggestions or fixes for this?

Tastes like plastic

I received this for Christmas this year and I've tried to use it several times but it tastes and smells like plastic! it's awful. I even read on several websites how to get rid of the smell, run vinegar/water through, run baking soda/water through, and I've run probably 15 of just plain water through as well. STILL TASTES AWFUL. I don't know what to do since it was a gift.. I'm not sure how to return or exchange. Is this just my espresso machine or does anyone else have this issue?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
