The Mr.Coffee Four Shot Steam Expresso & Cappuccino Maker was mediocre. It's smaller then other expresso machines I used in the past. While I was assembling I noticed that the machine was confusing and fragile to handle. The frothing stem is in a convenient spot but I didn't care for the plastic finish. The plastic finish felt flimsy every time I took it off to clean it. I felt it would break when I took it off.
The brewing time took less then two minutes which is nice because I would make it when I was in a hurry for work. The great part was it had an authentic test. I feel the machine should come with a sample of expresso grounds and a metal frothing pitcher to steam the milk. It felt unsafe to use a ceramic mug for it felt like it would break every time I went to steam the milk.
Cleaning is not so much second nature and you have to read the manual to get a good idea how to clean it. Even reading the manual it still seemed confusing to take apart everything. Another thing about cleaning is it is not convenient, for you have to clean every time you make a latte or cappuccino.
The Mr.Coffee Four Shot Steam Expresso & Cappuccino Maker is like having a personal Barista at your house without the convenience of someone cleaning up for you. The product is good if you don't want to waste your time on those long coffee lines every morning before work.

Pretty decent machine

For the price, this machine is a good value and manages to produce a pretty decent beverage. It is compact, has a sleek appearance and is pretty simple to operate. Pros: -Pulls pretty good tasting shots of espresso. -Produces decent foam. -Easy to use. -Nice looking. -Doesn't take up much counter space. -Simple to clean.
Cons: -Have to "depressurize" and refill with water between making multiple beverages. -The amount of water to be put in the reservoir is measured by "fill lines" on the carafe instead of giving a specific number of ounces. Not too big of a deal but could be problematic if the carafe was ever damaged or misplaced.
Overall, this machine performed well and is an affordable vehicle for producing decent espresso drinks at home. The only real annoyance is when you are making multiple drinks and have to depressurize the water reservoir between each drink. For someone who is looking for an affordable alternative to hitting the coffee shop every morning, this would be a good little machine to have on hand.
*I received this machine for free to sample and review it. My review is based off of my own personal opinion and experience and has not been influenced by any outside source.

The product worked well and it was easy to use. I also like the way it looks. There was a bit of a strong plastic smell where you put the water in, but I think it will eventually go away. Overall, for the price it is a pretty decent espresso machine. I received the machine as a sample to test out and I'm glad I did it!

Makes a great cup of espresso.

When I got this espresso machine I was super excited. It's small and pretty and has all the things I was looking for in an espresso machine. Let's start with the pros. 1) It looks great. The stainless steel/black/silver exterior is beautiful and looks great in my kitchen. 2) It's small. I have very very limited counter space and this doesn't take up too much of it. It's only about 8"X 6" on the base. 3) Adding more to the space saving aspect, the cord has a place to wrap around under the base. So you don't have all that extra cord hanging around on your counter. 4) The instruction manual it comes with is amazing. It gives great instructions on how to make espresso, clean the machine and be safe with it. 5) It makes espresso super fast. I'm talking less than 2 minutes for a cup. 6)It's very simple to use I thought it might be complicated but it's really very easy. 7) It's well made. The pieces are of good quality and I feel confident it would last a very long time. 8) The clean up of the machine is very easy. It takes no more than a few minutes and all of the pieces clean well will little effort. 9) It makes a great cup of espresso. This of course depends on the quality and type of coffee you use. I tried several different brands and the taste was great with each one. Now for the bad. 1) The instructions say to fill the water to the line for the amount you want to make. Doing so you obviously won't get back in espresso what you put in because you lose a lot of water to steam. So I would suggest to fill it a bit above the line. For example if you want 2 cups and fill the water to 2 cups you will end up getting about 1 1/2 cups. So if I want a return of 2 actual cups I fill it to 2 1/2 cups(by eyeballing it). 2) As it says in the instructions frothing is a learned skill. Maybe I just haven't learned it but I find the frother impossible to use. It says to submerge the nozzle and move the cup in a circular motion. The nozzle doesn't stick out very far and there just isn't room to move the cup in a circular motion. I found this very disappointing. Maybe with some more practice it'll get easier but I doubt it. After using this machine for a few weeks I still find this feature hard to use. There just really needs to be more space allowed to move around the frothing spigot to get a good froth.
Over all I'd give this machine 3.5 out of 5 stars for one of it major features not really being usable. *I was given this product as a sample to test and review.

Great machine if you have patience

Upon receiving this in the mail I have to note it was extremely poorly packaged. The espresso maker was in its original packaging but was just tossed in another box with no other packing material. Luckily it wasn't damaged but the box did have damage. First thing I did was wash everything but even after that it still smelled strongly of plastic. I was really excited to try this so I got to it right away. I definitely had to read the instructions but still took re-reading to figure out the whole on/off system. The huge downfall for me is having to pay CLOSE attention to shut it off and turn it to steamer as soon as it starts brewing or you have no steam for the milk. I'm a multi-tasked so for me it's hard and will admit I screwed up a couple times because waiting for it to heat up takes a minute. I'd get impatient and turn my back and of course as soon as I did it's start brewing. It feels VERY sturdy, maybe too much so. Putting the portafilter is a bit inconvenient and difficult. I had to look up underneath it to find the slot, then when turning I feel like I'm going to break it because it takes so much pressure to get it in the right spot. I am also not a fan of the position the steamer is in. Per the instructions it tells you to "swirl" your pitcher (which is not included ". There is no room to swirl the pitcher. If you try to move it at all it's hitting the machine. Overall it's a good machine. Feels like it will last a while but definitely think you need to read the instructions and find a system to brewing the perfect cup. I will continue my hunt for a more convenient machine but for someone with patience it's perfect. Please not: I was given this machine to sample for my honest review.

Great little expresso maker

The Mr Coffee Expresso & Cappuccino Maker is a good buy in my eyes. It is probably the least expensive expresso maker on the market. It does a fair job of making expresso except I expected it to be hotter. Doesn't seem to make the coffee hot enough. It seems to be made well and quality accessories accompany it. Would make a great gift or addition to a coffee maker you already have but not your main one as it does only one cup at a time. I received this product for free to review.

Sleek and classy

I wasn't sure I even wanted another appliance in my kitchen but after taking it out of the box I was so so thrilled to see that it really was even more attractive than the picture! It's sleek, it's attractive and the aesthetic appeal makes it so lovely. Should I mention now how well it works too?! I get to make quality espresso every morning on a beautiful machine and even though it upgrades my kitchen and looks spendy I'm actually saving tons of money! My only complaint is that it does not come with a stainless mug for the foamer, not a big deal, but I was a little disappointed to see it wasn't apart of the whole package. But all in all it works great, it looks wonderful, and I absolutely have enjoyed the addition to my house. Definitely give it a shot! Disclaimer: I did receive this product to review it but was not compensated or influenced in any way to write a positive review.

I was pleased with the size of the product. I have a very very small kitchen and it doesn't take up much room. There aren't a lot of options but the frothing wand sure is cool. It does require a little practice to get the hang of it. Im happy with the flavor and frothing but that all there is to it. It's easy to clean and is a nice looking maker. I received the product free in exchange for an honest review.
