Fantastic little machine

I received this espresso and steam cappuccino machine free as a result of testing through Field Agent. I really found the product to be surprisingly helpful. It really simplified my coffee making process and allowed me the opportunity to have some coffee house style drinks at the convenience of my own home. But know that I am box the item I was really thrilled with a simple aspects of the product and how easy it was to operate from start to finish. I quickly loaded up with my favorite coffee and had a cup of milk onto the side prepared to steam for the ever popular but have a cappuccino and I preferred Starbucks although it may not of had the fancy flavoring it had the same frothy deliciousness as most copies to you. The extra benefit was the added savings that with my pocket as a result of using this product at home. As mentioned not only is it very easy to use but it produces great coffee. I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends and actually look to purchase another One of these to have in my office so that my employees can enjoy it as well.

What a GREAT little machine

I received this about a month ago, and my life has changed. At first i never thought I could make my own.Then after some trial and error, i am hooked! I love making my own Espresso and cappuccino. What a great IDEA!! Thank YOU!!

great for college students

The Mr Coffee Steam Espresso & Cappuccino Maker is good for beginners that want more then black coffee. It makes a decent espresso & the frother works really well. Pros: looks nice, doesn't take up much counter space (small enough to store in a cupboard), easy to clean, can make coffeehouse like drinks for cheap with some practice. Cons: instruction manual is poorly written so it took longer then expected to learn to use it, glass carafe is very fragile, doesn't come with permanent coffee filter, espresso temp is not very hot. This machine would be great for college students or anyone needing a to cut back on buying expensive coffeehouse drinks. The quality isn't the best but the price is a reflection of that.

Good deal for the price

This is a great little espresso maker. it is easy to use and doesn't take up too much space on my counter top. the only thing I didn't really like was the feel of the two knobs. They are very smooth and can be hard to get a good grip on. The side one also doesn't really click into place at the "off" position like it seems it should. Overall, it is a good deal for the price.

My espresso adventure

I was excited to use my espresso maker. Set-up seemed complicated from the directions, however once actually putting it together it wasn't hard at all. It was slightly confusing the first time I made a latte. Adding water twice seemed like an extra set. Brewing the espresso was easy. Frothing was very challenging. The steam nozzle would be better if it was a little longer. All my coffee cups were too tall to properly froth. The directions were very vague. Clean up was very easy. Very little mess while making drinks. Overall I do like this espresso machine. I'm excited to get the hang of frothing. This machine is going to save me so much money. I received this product as a sample to try at home.

Expresso at home

Great little expresso machine to make my cafe mochas, lattes and cappuccinos. Easy to use and clean. Steamer works well but unable to make any adjustments while frothing. Downside is it doesn't come with a frothing pitcher. The cord is initially short but need to turn machine over to see the bottom and can adjust the length to make it longer if needed. The machine is compact and doesn't take up to much counter space or cabinet space, if you choose to store it. The overall look is appealing. Makes a good cup of joe! Received this product as a sample to review

You get what you pay for...

If you drink straight espresso, this would be fine.
If you only want a a cappuccino or latte type drink once or twice a month, this MIGHT be ok, if you're the patient, detail-oriented type. Otherwise, I'd pass.
While the water resevior holds enough water for 2 drinks, it does not self-regulate to turn off after one drink has been made. So if you fill the receiver full, you have to watch and guess when you should manually turn the machine off (otherwise you'll have deluted coffee). If you choose to only do one drink at a time, which seems to be the intention of the product, you'll have to wait a considerable time before making a second drink, as the machine has to be cooled off and depressurized before removing the cap for the water.
The steamer wand is a joke. Except not the funny kind, as you'll end up with milk all over your kitchen. What milk isn't splattered everywhere will only be half-steamed, because the wand is too close to the machine to allow for the circular motion that many people do with the frothing pitcher. There's no good way to get the other portions of the milk steamed with this design.
The little decanter is cute, and helpful as well since it has measurements on it. The only complaint I have with it is that there is only a pitcher spout on one side. Left handed people like me are out of luck, since I saw no way to rotate the handle to the other side.
There are lots of pieces with this machine, and lots of clean-up and prep are required. It also requires being hands- on during a good portion of the brewing process There's not really any point where you can step away and just let it go on it's own.
It kinda gets the job done; but not well. If you're looking for a cheap espresso machine for cappuccinos and lattes, I would suggest getting the Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista instead. Yes, there's a big price difference between the two, but it's well worth the difference and still very much a "budget conscious" decision as far as espresso machines are concerned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best thing about this product is that it I compact, takes up almost no space of the counter, it's also very quick and easy to use, for the price, great product
