Already Broken

I purchased this machine for my husband for Christmas. We use it a couple times a week. However, it's already broken and won't brew anymore. Loved it the short month it worked.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible cheaply made new design does not steam milk like previous design. I sent back after a couple days for full refund. Cheap, cheap, cheap

This machine is the worst purchase I have made

I bought two of these machines, one for me and one for my parents as a gift, and they worked ok for a few months, with the coffee smelling weird sometimes. Then both machines started getting really slow, and the coffee started coming out tasting like metal. We always used filtered water, and we tried cleaning the machines various times, but the metal taste does not go away. We think there may be something wrong with the internal water boiler, or with the coating somewhere inside of it, as it also releases white residue. I honestly think they are not safe for our health, and we stopped using it for fear of some sort of poisoning. Please, stay away from this.

I have had my espresso maker for about a year. After about three months the filter holder was the first thing to go bad. The plastic handle loosened from metal part. I had to drill out the handle end in order to tighten the screw. After approximately six months the carafe handle split length-wise from the end to the metal ring. A case for epoxy glue. Makes good espresso though!

Excellent machine for singles w minimum counter space. Quick easy to use, and its soooo good. Why pay more!?! This is my 2nd one, roommate broke on/off switch on 1st one, jamming other appliances against it in the cubborard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good to use with Ear Muffs and Bubble Protection

Bought this product thinking that it was a good price and that it would be great to have a cappuccino machine. Found that the machine and works great for brewing espresso (used Tully's Espresso: a great cup). The biggest problem: the steamer. When you warm up milk with it and try to make froth, it bubbles over and gets on all of the things around you. Yet you have to do this in order to get good froth. (tried both the recommended ceramic mug and stainless steal frothing pitcher) Maybe you need to find a trick to adjusting the knob back and forth, but in the morning when I am on the go, in a hurry, and want a quick latte, this machine doesn't do the job. The steamer is also very loud. I eventually started using ear muffs to muffle the sound as it was so loud and as a musician, having this happen to my ears is terrible. Recommendation: if you are on a budget and specifically love Espresso shots and that is all you want want a Cappuccino machine for Espresso shots then buy this product. If you like the morning latte, stay away or be prepared to heat the milk up in the microwave.

Exceptionional Espresso!!!

I bought one of these little Espresso makers for my home, I loved it so much I bought one for work as well. An exceptional Espresso maker for it's size and inexpensive price. Once you find the perfect coffee bean, the Espresso is better than anywhere else.
