terrible knobs

the 2010 version of this model was great, but I treated myself to a NEW one when I moved. Within 6 weeks the knob mechanism broke.Foolishly I reorderd same model..the knob broke after THREE USES !DO NOT BUY THIS

I bought this to replace my 22 year old Mr. Coffee Espresso Maker. They're so incredibly alike, with the exception that the on/off switch is part of the knob that switches between steam wand and espresso, the switch to the new one as seamless. I love it, and how it lasts longer than the last machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No replacement parts for filter basket handle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift about 1.5 years ago and the filter basket handle has broken off. Poor design quality on the metal filter basket and plastic handle. This has been reported on other reviews and there are no replacement parts for this piece. Highly disappointed in this product.

Not a long lasting machine.

This is the 3rd and last Mr Coffee machine I owned, all 3 died the same way and around the same time, 14 months give or take, the machine will stop brewing a full carafe, it will only brew 2 cups, and that was it, it is not clogged, not dirty at all, it was meticulously cleaned after every use, never left with water on the reservoir. There is a design flaw which can obviously be detected by the end consumer and obviously it should have been detected by the manufacturer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a month ago. It is different from the "Caffe/Latte' machine I had. However, I am getting used to the steps of brewing, then frothing..and it comes out deliciouis

Great while it lasts

I've had mine over a year now and I'm pretty happy with it. However, I've noticed that it's losing pressure and starting to leak between the grounds and the top. I think the seal needs replacing, but they say that isn't a part that can be replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes good expresso, is not built to last.

This machine makes decent coffee; however, the machine itself is made of flimsy plastic parts which break easily. The knob, which is essential to the machine, sheared off at its interior tiny white plastic piece. By phone I contacted the seller and they are sending a new one. Let's hope this one lasts more than the four weeks the first one did.
