Made thinner and cheaper before

After thinking the new model would be better, it got worse!!! The metal basket is shaved down real thin and everything taste like aluminum. If they could produce one with stainless for a little more, I would buy it, but this will give you health problems. Its complete junk, don't buy it.

I bought this recently and love to make fresh espresso, but the steaming part does not work. I ordered a steel frothing pitcher and when it arrived i could not use it and had to return it. I ordered this because it had that option

Great little machine!

Bought this machine a few days ago. Mainly to make Cappucino's and Lattes and thus far I am in love! It is easy to operate. Warms up in 2 minutes, therafter brews coffee in less than one minute. The frother steams/froths milk to perfection. I use a thermometer in the frother pitcher (not included) to get milk to correct temp which is about a minute. No need to purchase expensive ones.. This gets the job done at a fraction of the cost.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

This is my second espresso machine which I use once daily and twice now the same thing has happened. The steam builds up so strong that it blasts water all over my counter top and I only get about 1/4 espresso in the glass pot rather that 1/2 to 3/4....I love the size so much, but unfortunately disappointed in the waste of my expensive espresso.

Very good quality for price

I was trying to remember when we originally bought this. At least over 7 years ago. The only quality problem was that the plastic handle to the portafilter broke off about a year ago, but we are still able to use it. You can't use too fine of a grind or tamp the grounds too much as the steam pressure only (no pump) isn't enough to force the water through the "cake". Although even if you over-tamp and are willing to wait, the water will usually eventually pass through (sometimes up to 20 minutes later). The steam tip works best if you take off the black plastic attachment and learn to steam the milk the normal way. You'll never get pro machine results out of this machine, but for the price you can still make a decent espresso drink.
I would recommend this to a friend!
