Smells like burnt plastic

Just bought this and made a latte. The espresso and steamed milk both taste like burnt plastic (which is what the water reservoir smells like) any remedies for this situation? Very disappointed.

Great cappuccino for a great price!

We have had two expensive cappuccino machines, the coffee of which, does not compare to this mighty little machine. Great coffee,sufficient creme, and good froth.

I made the mistake twice of buying this espresso machine. The first one lasted 3 months, one day it just stopped steaming. I thought I had done something wrong so I bought it again and the steamer and brewer stopped working after 2 weeks. It seems like it's backed up, I hear the water boiling but nothing brews or steams.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Defective

My husband bought this product for me and the steam feature wouldn't work. I played around with it and it finally produced steam. I unplugged it to follow the directions to make coffee and then it wouldn't come back on.

Badly burned

The fill cap was turned tight, but boiling water and steam was escaping around it and my wife was burned trying to unplug it. The "frothing aid" blows the milk out of the cup all over the place.

Got for Christmas. I've used espresso makers before so I'm knowledgeable of how they work. This thing brews all the water that is put in the machine and leaves non to steam. You can't take the top off to add water since it's hot and under pressure. Machine also doesn't sit level and seems to be made of cheap plastic. I think I'll be throwing this out and accept that I'm out $40. Sticking with keurig!

My prevoius Mr Cofee expresso maker worked over 8 yrs when the on-off turning switch broke. Have been very happy with its performance hope with next model the lid will be like very old model -easy to remove,Not roundish but narrow vertical piece ,easy to hold.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor frothing

I bought this machine for my significant other for Christmas. He is a barista so I figured he'd have fun with it making new drinks. The frothing arm doesn't even froth. It only makes hot bubbles which he is very dissatisfied with.
