Origanal Ink Cartridge required

Why does the original cartridge have to be used in order for the printer to work? Maybe there should be a large red warning label stating must use original Cartridge! I tend to be extra and use replacement as originals on have 1/5 the ink?
If this happens how does wone fix this as the orginal gets thrown out?

My sister begged me to let her show me the Picture Mate. She 'sneakedly' told my son. One appeared on my birthday; my daughter turned 50 and we surprised her
with one. Pictures turn out great and it is so easy to use. We are all delighted with this product.

I was very leary of purchasing a printer without "hands on"...not being able to view or try before you buy BUT I got it delivered to my house, set it up in less than five minutes and was working great for my event! The print is vivid...smudge proof and water proof right off the printer. The only reqret I have is that I wish it could print other sizes!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is an excellent product, it performs as advertised. The PM 225 is the second product of Epson Picture Mate that I have purchased. I have the PM 260 also which I tried to purchase again but could not find that model, only the PM 225.
The major differance that I noticed in the PM260 and PM225 is the LCD monitor. The LCD on the PM260 is much larger 3.5 monitor, which if you put them side by side, it makes you wonder why Epson shrunk the monitor. Otherwise great product, highly recommend.

Bough after extensive research. Also purchased the lithium battery which has not arrived yet. Beautiful results. Extremely compact. If one wants an extremely portable printer for 4x6 size prints then this is the way to go. Highly recommended.

This cute little printer definately surprised me. It had astonishing picture quality and it was super fast.
The only thing that was disappointing was the ink didnt last very long. but it may have been my fault because i put in ink and then it sat fora few months.
hopefully my replacement ink will last longer.

great little printer

I received this printer for a Christmas gift. As far as printing pictures from my SD card or my computer, it does a great job. Pictures are shart and clear with great colors. I would like to print using Bluetooth and I have purchased the Bluetooth Adapter, but as of this post I cannot get it connected. Hope it works as I would like to print wirelessly from my computer and my IPhone.

its great. prints beautiful prints in under 40 seconds. . Lightweight, easy to carry . will get a lot of use out of it when on vacation.
