Tiny but cute washer! I keep this washer and its matching dryer in a closet near the attic. It’s so cute and it washes small loads of hand towels and other small items very well!

I had my eye on this washer (and the matching dryer) for a long time, it is a perfect fit for my home and the matching condensing dryer was an absolute necessity since I don't have a vent. I went with LG with hopes of high reliability and service.
The Good: Compact size, cool high-tech looking controls, water and energy saving, matching Dryer is ventless.
The Bad: Leaked in second month of ownership due to faulty hose, warranty does not cover stacking or unstacking ("installation") when the units need service, poor communication between LG and their service people.
I'll give 5-star, high reviews for the dryer... it has performed well with high quality and no service required, but my experience in the first 2 months of ownership of the washer has forced me to give low ratings for quality and value.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's LOVE!

I love, love, love this washer. It's very compact and fits nicely under the countertop. It's quiet and very efficient using very little water. The clothes come out extremely clean and fresh! I haven't noticed an increase in my water bill at all! I love the sweet little jingles it plays for it's cycles and when it's done. I can wash a lot of clothes and it even does several blankets and sheets at one time. Honestly, I can't imagine why anyone would want a bigger washer unless you're a family of 3 or more, but for 1-2 people, it's perfect. I wish they weren't so expensive and I wish the front soap holder was a more sturdy plastic. Nevertheless, I'm not hard on my appliances so I don't expect any problems. I also don't understand the review that said it smells. There is a cleaning cycle and it recommends this be done once a month or so, depending on how often it's used. I've had ZERO problems or complaints and always look forward to laundry days!!

Pricey, but worth it

I live in a condo and the 16 year old washer died. It's difficult to find small washers to replce old ones. Th new units are much biger. The small capacity is partially made up for by the exceelent job this washer does.

It fit the spot

When we moved to our condo I knew I would put in a laundry. The condo association had very specific rules, so it had to be installed in the shower of the small "maid's bathroom" and had to have a ventless dryer. Therefore, my choices were limited.
I chose the LG because it FIT... had the direct drive motor and was paired with the DLEC855W ventless dryer. Also my daughter has a new top load LG washer and has been happy with her choice.
The smaller capacity has not been a problem for me, but there are just 2 of us + an occasional visitor. If I have a very large item I take down 12 flights (in the elevator, of course) & use the commercial washer in the common laundry.
The machine washes well and resonablly fast. It doesn't dance around or make a lot of noise What more could you want?

It really cleans my clothes so much better than the old top loader I had. The controls are easy to understand and I enjoy having the freedom to pick the right combination of features to use with each load.

I have a small first floor bathroom converted to a laundry room. I love this machine for so many reasons. It is easy to program, it takes less detergent than my last machine, and the clothes come out so fresh. I think that I would choose this machine for anyone who has limited space. I love the concluding musical theme.
