Samsung should just stick with electrics

I bought this product about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I fell in love with style and the LED lighting. After about a year, right after the standard warranty ran out, the fan starting making horrible noise. 6 months after that, the refigerator side stopped cooling. 24 hours later the freezer stopped working. I had a very hard time finding a Samsung authorized dealer or any appliance repair service that would come to fix it. Come to find out, there is a common problem with the model where the freezer wall in the back freezes solid and prevents cool air to circulate to the refrigerator side. The service man told me to unplug it and wait for service. They quoted me 150-400 to fix the problem not including the labor. Long story short, if I would have read the reviews before buying the product I would have passed!!! Terrible product.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, ice maker malfunctions, very expensive to fix

Worst refridgerator

This refrigerator has been the worst one we've ever owned, a total waste of money! We've only had it for a little over a year and it has completely stopped working. The refrigerator and freezer won't stay cold, it has ruined all my food. It will cost half of what we paid for it originally to fix it so we are just going to buy a new fridge, not wasting our money on this one.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, stopped working after 1 year

I really like everything about this product!! It is quiet, makes ice fast and will let you know if the door is left open too long! I have 3 children and the child lock on the ice and water are a plus!! I would reccomend this product to everyone!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable

It's a lemon

Although this refrigerator looks stylish, I am sorry I bought it. The ice dispenser in the door shoots ice all over the room and can't be used. The water dispenser provides cool water for a cup then the water is hot. It breaks down and requires repair every few months. DON'T BUY THIS UNIT!

Beautiful but flawed

This is a beautiful modern looking fridge BUT we have only had this refrigerator for 6 months and half the LED lights on the front/water/ice display are burnt out. The fridge makes a loud vibrating sound when cooling. The ice maker is cracked and when you get ice it goes all over the place unless your cup is very wide.
Pros: looks nice
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Questionable design/reliablility

Purchased this refrigerator in April, 2010 with federal appliance rebate money to defray the cost. My complaints are that the shelf level slots are positioned oddly, especially the top ones. Either its to short to store standard 2-liter soda bottles or wine bottles with corks sticking out or it is extremely low to accomadate these. This makes the remaining shelf levels quite small. Using the overly deep door shelves is possible but shakes up bottle contents (not good for soda and champagne). The control panel isn't especially intuitive and having to select water or ice separately is an unecessary inconvenience. Worst of all, two indicator lights on the control panel have failed and I feel I have to bother to have repaired in case its an indicator of a broader chip problem with the circuit board. Never had a major appliance that began to fail so soon.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

We like the look and interior features of this model but the exterior has been nothing but problems. Finish easily scratches. I have tried many things to remove them. My daughter's magnets even scratch them although I have tried them on our dishwasher and other magnetic faced appliances and they do not scratch those (they are another brand). The ice machine is very difficult to operate in the sense that we have broken glasses pushing on the handle to get ice to flow and then an "avalanche" occurs. We have had a repairman out and he said this was common for this model and was particularly awkward. I probably would not have purchased it if I had known it would have not held up (we have had it less than a year).

Have never had so much trouble with a refridgerator before

I have owned this refridgerator for a little over a year. Not only have I had repairmen out twice to fix the ice and water maker during the warranty but now three months after the warranty has expired my freezer has completely stopped working.
