Flaws with Char Broil Classic (6 Burners)

1- All the heat is concentrated on the rear
2- The flames are not even throughout the flame tubes
3- The grease trap is too small
4- The grease trap cover corrodes too fast and I've only had this unit for less than two years
5- The grease vapors condensate and fall on the ground.

The back of your grill has carryover tubes that allow the flames to transfer from burner to burner and this creates the extra heat. This added heat will help with searing your food. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to provide more information and best assist.

Perfect family backyard grill

This is the second Char-broil and love it. First one lasted about 10 years and the only reason I had to replace was it got left out in the rain uncovered a few too many times... Love the size, ease of assembly and look.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my grill

I received this grill from my children for Christmas about 2 years ago. I've used it a lot at home and at my Civic Association block party. My only issue was the leg extender (plastic part that holds the wheel). I have not been able to use all the burner at full during winter because the regulator freezes up. Still love it! Great grill for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality

Overall, this is a great value grill for its price. However, many parts are rusted out after 2 years of moderate usage even though the grill is under good care, ie: heat tent, cooking grates, warming racks, etc. The gas flow seems to be uneven, the inner part of the grill is way hotter due to the design of the gas hose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this grille and it was the floor model got it home the spring in the ignition switch was missing being the floor model kinda expected, I got on line and registered the grille, chatted with a rep the next morning I got a phone call from Char-Broil talked to the rep told the it was the floor model and they are sending me replacement part for free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Grill but uneven cooking

I have had the grill for just over a month (replacing a Charbroil I had for 9 years) and it seems to cook uneven. The back of the grill cooks hotter than the front. I cook fresh not frozen burgers and they cook extremely hot in the back and hardly at all up front. It's very hard to cook with such an uneven heating surface.

Three years of dependable performance.

I have had this BBQ for 3 years and it is hands-down the most dependable and reliable BBQ I've ever had. I've used this BBQ on average 2-3 times a week since I retired. Although I try to keep it clean, it has been outside, exposed to the elements the whole time. Yet in that time I've never had to replace any parts or make any repairs! My last BBQ purchased from a member warehouse store was twice as expensive and parts began to deteriorate during the first year of use. My only complaint is that the heat is not always even over the complete cooking surface, but that minor flaw in no way reduces my enthusiasm for this BBQ. For the price this is a great BBQ and a great deal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rusted grates and knob melted off within 1st year

The quality of the grill after just a year is not acceptable. With the knob melting off and all the grates rusted. I think my next grill will NOT be Charbroil.....
