[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the pedestal to raise and provide additional storage under our LG dryer. Thanks to reviews, I was able to plan my laundry room storage in advance. I did read a few reviews where some buyers are complaining that the drawer is not able to hold a standard size bottle of detergent. I guess "standard size" is relative. After our install, I discovered that a standard sized detergent ( 40 oz ) does indeed fit, standing, yay! On one side of the drawer (its divided), I store a bottle of fabric softener (32oz), 2 containers of Oxi Clean, small bleach, various types of laundry stain removers, and 2-3 sizing/starch on the left side. On the right size I store bags, rags, and Swifter stacked 2x2 . The cabinet is well made. It feels durable, slides easy, and has a sleek exterior design. I have only owned the pedestal for a couple months. Thus far I am satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend this product,
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drawer does not come out.

Stored shopping bags in one side, and they slid through the opening at the back of the door, and then we could not remove the drawer to get them out. Terrible design. Should be able to pull drawer out to get behind to clean or remove anything that fall behind. Now the drawer is stuck open because of the bags that slipped behind. It stickes out beyond the dryer into the room. Very upset and disappointed.

Thanks for the feedback Sgcude. The drawer helps support and stabilize the weight of the washer or dryer on top and therefore it can not be removed. We are sorry for any inconvenience. ^AC

Not big enough, doesn't fit detergent bottles

We purchased new washer/dryer and thought that it would be nice to store the detergents underneath as you would otherwise be reaching up high to get it from the cabinets.
Not a single bottle of detergent that we had would fit and allow the drawers to close. Every single bottle (soap, bleach, softener, etc.) was too tall. There wasn't a single one that would allow it to close. You would have to specifically have to purchase the smaller bottles and if you are getting this size of machine(s) then you're going to be using more than that amount of soap.
The pedestals are pretty and keep me from having to bend over as far, but after paying more than $550 for the pair, and not being able to fit a single bottle of soap in it, I am beyond mad.

The good and the bad

I purchased pedestals for my washer and dryer. I purchased them for two reasons: One was to raise the height and reduce the need to bend since the doors on the machines are pretty low otherwise. Two was to be able to store my laundry chemicals in them. The door height for me with the pedestals is perfect. However, I am unable to fit even the standard size detergent bottles in the drawers. I gave these pedestals a low score for value because, for the price of them, all they are doing is raising the height of the washer and dryer. The only thing I currently store in them are extra cloths to wipe the water that remains on the gasket at the end of the wash cycle.

Loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No informed that having the pedestal under the washing machine would be loud during the spinning process. Having the space under the machine is helpful for storage in limited space.

The drawer works fine but too small

The height of this drawer is terrible. It does not fit basic liquid laundry and detergent bottles without laying them on their sides. I didn't think I would have to measure this before I purchased. Big mistake.

Wasn't satisfied!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this along with a new washer and dryer and the sidekick. Loved all of those! My complaint with the pedestal is it's not deep enough to hold your detergent, fabric softener, and bleach!! Only if you buy the small bottles! I mean...why didn't the people making these actually measure the depth to see if it works! I had to lay my bottle of detergent on its side. The bleach also! Had to take the cap off of the fabric softener just to get the drawer to close! Totally not happy about this!!

Pedestal attachment awkward and weak
on April 28, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG Laundry pedestal attaches to a washer or dryer via plastic parts. As such, it requires that the appliance be lifted and set upon the pedestal as the attachment of the pedestal to at the appliance on its side would probably shear the plastic connections if leaned up. Picking up an appliance and setting it on a pedestal is awkward and requires at least two people for a dryer, and definitely four people for a washer, which is much heavier than a dryer. Other manufactures screw the frame of the pedestal to the bottom of the appliance, which is much stronger. This strength is also an issue if the appliance is not carefully balanced and shakes in operation, which weakens the material and will eventually need to be replaced if it fractures.
That said, pedestals are not interchangeable, so the LG Laundry pedestal is the only choice for an LG washer or dryer.
