Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I would love the ease of steam cleaning, but I really don't like having to hold the trigger in to get the steam. My arms kill me when I am done cleaning! The cleaning pads leave a film on my floor. I have to go back over the floor a second time with a micro cloth attached to the steam mop and I am amazed how much dirt was left on the floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Your feedback is very important to us. You should not have to exert that much pressure to use this.
You may see some steam flow from the side vent, but most of it is directed towards the floor pad to help release the cleaning agent inside to remove & lift dirt. Depending on the size of your room, or if a deep cleaning is needed, it may require changing the pad. As you begin to use it more often, this shouldn't be necessary.

Handles all my hardwood great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product after a much more expensive similar product failed me after owning it a short time. I love this Swiffer! I have tile in my kitchen and all hardwoods in the rest of the house and it handles them wonderfully. The ease of a Swiffer with the power of steam!! I don't have to change the cleaning cloths as often because they don't dry out with the steam function so it's a money saver. I can also steam clean my hole house twice with the amount of water that goes into the reservoir. The only draw back is that the cord isn't very long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Swiffer my only problem is the steam button keeps breaking off. I'am on my second one and the same thing happened it just breaks and the button won't push in to make it steam. I do love the way it cleans but I can' keep buying new ones.

Great Steam cleaner!

Poor performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As much as I absolutely love Swiffer I was astonished how awful this item is. The steam only comes out the sides and not through the pads and the pads are quite wet and leave a dull residue on the floor. Not sure what I'm going to do with it. May try some of my dry pads from other Swiffer products to see if that helps.

I'm so sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience. We wouldn't expect this and neither should you! Does the pad you were using have a green strip on it? If so, that would be a pad specifically designed for our Swiffer WetJet. Our Swiffer Bissell Steamboost steampad refills have a gray tub and the chemistry is made to work with steam. If you are using the correct pads, here are some tips for a streak-free floor:
-If your floor is brand new, it may have a special coating to protect during shipping, and this can cause streaking. It can also happen if other cleaning products have been used recently as some do leave a shine effect on it. If this is the case, using the products a few more times should solve the problem.
-Sweep or vacuum the floor first; then use the Swiffer Steamboost. In areas with more dirty or sticky residues on the floor exist, 2 to 3 mopping strokes may be needed to clean the area.
-Don't use this on unfinished, oiled or waxed wooden boards, non-sealed tiles or carpeted floors because they may be water-sensitive.
If you have tried all of the above and still have a problem, please contact us for further help and do not use other pads or refills with this product. Our toll free number is 1-800-611-2583 #1. We'll be glad to assist you! Thanks!

Time Saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of a Steam mop but was unhappy with the Swiffer model. I do not like the slightly sticky film the pads leave on the tile. After using the SwifferBoost, I notice dirty shoe prints and a slightly sticky feel when I walk on the tile (well after it is dry). This does not happen when I wash the tile floor with vinegar and water.
The SteamBoost as a machine works well, I would prefer to have an untreated pad available so I can use a solution of my choice. I would be happy with a disposable or reusable pad.
Pros: steam, easy to fill, heats quickly
Cons: sticky residue remains, small head size
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

REALLY GOOD PRODUCT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had & been using the Bissell Steam Mop for about 6 months, but since I've been using it my floors are much cleaner. The first time I used it on my kitchen floor (which I thought was clean), I used about 20 scrub pads. And my kitchen floor is not that big. I was shocked at how much it cleaned off my floor. I also bought a pack of refill pads (the vanilla-lavender scent), but was disappointed that they didn't smell as clean and fresh as the ones that came with the steam mop (the fresh scent). I just wish they could come up with a kind of bristled re-usable cleaning pads. I have a slightly textured floor and it is very difficult for "anything" to get in the little crevices.....
Pros: steam, easy to use, light weight
Cons: no bristles, needs to hold more water, needs textured scrubby pads
I would recommend this to a friend!
