good looks-frustrating to use

this is a very attractive small clock radio, but it is incredibly difficult to set even when paying close attention to the manual. I found it impossible to make FM radio station presets and it is a pain to find a station using the manual tuning button. AM reception is non-existent. tried to search for better instructions and wasn't successful.
I bought it because I could attach a Sansa MP3 player, but getting that to work (occasionally) is also a challenge.

Hello Thea! Thank you for sharing this information with us, we would like to recommend to try the steps available through the link below to improve the radio reception, as well to follow these steps to be able to preset any station you desire:

1- find the station you would like to set as a preset by using the TUNING buttons + or –, if you hold down the button the dial should go faster.

2 - Hold down the desired NATURE SOUND / PRESET 1 to 5 button until you hear two beeps which will be the indication that it is already saved.

3 - The work PRESET will show on top of the frequency saved to indicate that it is set properly.

1 – For FM radio: Extend the FM wire antenna fully to increase reception sensitivity.
2 – For AM radio: Connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the unit. Rotate the antenna horizontally for optimum reception.

Could Be Even Better

Pros: Love the footprint on my window ledge (no direct sunlight). Other features exceed what I was looking for to replace my 30-year-old radio.
Cons: I DO NOT find the blue backlighting easy to read--contrast is poor with black. Orange backlight would have been perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Probably buying it again

I have had this clock radio for several years. Just a week ago, it began to die. I'm glad I got several years out of it, and am probably going to buy another one. I see that people have complained about the display. I LOVE the fact that the display can be turned off altogether. This feature is unusual and I use it every night. On occasion I want to see the time at night and I'm sorry to say that the click of the button sometimes wakes my bed-mate. It would be nice if it were silent. This clock does a lot and is nice and small, so I don't have a problem with how somewhat confusing it can be to change settings and set alarms and presets. I got the hang of it and I think most moderately tech-savvy people would.
I have been searching for one of those sunrise simulator alarm clocks, but I can't find any which allow the display to be turned off and most have very mixed reviews. Pretty sure I'll be buying this one again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor user interface design

This was a replacement for an old but good Sony and what a disappointment. I have struggled with it for 2 years. How do you set the time ? It runs a little fast (umm, how is that possible? not quartz?) and every several months I need to move it back 5 minutes. First, you need the user manual (really?!) because no combination of pushing the buttons labeled 'time set' will do you any good. The worst is the alarm off/reset button. When I awake, often other family members are still asleep - so I want to reset the alarm so that it will wake me tomorrow. For many people this would be the most often used button. The button to do so is tiny and next to other buttons one does NOT want to push. It is so poorly labeled that excellent vision in good light is needed to read it. Neither of those conditions were present, so, I took to hitting the 'sleep' button 6 times so that the radio was off for another hour. But then my daughter or wife would come and try to turn the radio off and , because the reset button is tiny hidden and hard to read, would push other buttons that often just turned the alarm off, so that I overslept the next day. This happened once per month for almost 2 years - finally I took some white paint and marked the silly button.
There are other dumb design problems as well... Just poor user design - what a disappointment. Obvious statement: If people need a user manual on a clock you messed up design.
While I'm at it: The nature sounds - sound fake and lame. I can't imagine anyone using them but who knows. Surely not worth the complicated user interface that seems mostly designed to allow you to easily pick a fake lame nature sound.

I have had this for a few years, but now it suddenly stopped working.
I know why. Neither this nor any other clock radio with projection has DAB.
When will the firs DAB Clock radio with projection come?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted to use the radio but I haven’t been able to figure out how to use it easily. I like that it is connected to the atomic clock(I think)
