They should rate Printers in Decibels. This printer was very noisy and would not print square. Everything was printed at a little angle. Set up was easy and the printer looked good, but its quality was very low. I had to ship it back and upgrade. So we will see how the new unit is. I have a small business and have always used HP Printers, so we will see how the more expensive unit compares. Remember, You Get What You Pay For !

we found the manual feed only works 1 page at a time, and the printer is a little noisy. It works fine, just not for high usage office work. Order if for personal use only.

NOT AS ADVERTISED-NO WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY

I had a printer which was working fine, and purchased this one because HP advertised it as being able to connect to a wireless network and as being AirPrint compatible. No instructions were included with the printer explaining how to connect to a wireless network. The printer does not include a touch screen interface as the Envy does. I could not locate adequate instruction on HP's support website. Its support blog site was similarly useless. VERY DISAPPOINTED, as I had been purchasing HP printers since the first LaserJet was introduced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer has all the features of a good basic printer. It is network ready and energy compliant.
It has energy saving features, operating on standby when not in use. It automatically does double sided printouts by user selection. The print is sharp and easily read. All and all this is a great printer with a small footprint.

Network printing problems

Encountered the well documented problem of printing several copies when adding the printer through the "add printer" function (windows 7) as our IT administration had suggested. The HP suggested way of installing it (through printing a configuration page) worked well initially until my IT told me to go the "add printer" route.
Solution: Downloaded the updated printer software from HP homepage and did it that way; now it works fine. Very annoying process, though, since I had to do it on all our computers. Wish the updated software and firmware would come on the CD or pre-installed on the printer.
