The lens is easy to use. Having a fast, long lens is great for wildlife and sports. The round aperture makes the background nice and soft when out of focus. Wish I had gotten the lens sooner.

Bought this len to picture my kid’s dance competition one month ago, amazing low light performance, and very fast auto focus capability.

I had the 70-200 L 2.8 for years. It is hard to believe that they improved that much. It is a much better lens than the older version.

A must have lens

Wow! This lens was bigger and heavier than I expected. I'm not one to complain about the weight though. I expect well built for this price. If its heavy, then I know it will be tough lens and last a long time.
I have not tried out the other brands in this range. After buying this lens i won't need to try those other ones. This lens is well built and that's what I wanted. I love the feel of the metal parts of this lens versus say "quality" plastic.
Plus this came with a bag! Not a cheap looking one either.
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
Cons: price

I bought this a month ago to use in low light and sports Photography. This lens is mint and I cannot see that is any different from a new lens. I would purchase one for Canon in a heartbeat.

I have only used it for a couple of days, but I love it. Very sharp and crisp. Heavy to carry around, but the weight is worth it. So far, I can't say anything negative about it.

The lens has soft focus on shorter focal length end for close targets. If focuses sharp at the longer (200mm) end. Also soft and aberations at long distance, high contrast targets at 200mm focal length.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just got this, so the jury's still out a bit, but my first batch of pictures don't seem to be very razor sharp when I zoom in on them. More investigation needed.
