So quiet!

Easy to use; good exhaust venting. Cooktop light is good, too. I am hopeful that the lightbulbs will not need to be changed with any frequency, as the light cover opens to the back.
It heats quickly and evenly. I do not use the kid-food settings. Besides being efficient and nicely styled, the feature of greatest significance is that it operates quietly. Our kitchen is open to our living/dining area. Venting cooking odors is important and is easily and quickly accomplished. Previously you could not listen to music or hear a conversation right in front of you with our former microwave, when it was cooking.

Microwave only lasts 3 years.

Bought beautiful kitchen full of Lg appliances. Shortly after 3 years the microwave made a buzz one day and next day it was dead. Lg wants to charge us just to look at it. So apparently Lg Microwaves do not last more than 3 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken after 1.5 years

Our LMV1813ST microwave broke after using it for a year and a half. It no longer heats up food. Despite the 10 year magnetron warranty the repair tech says it is not worth fixing since we have to pay for the labor to replace it. He suggested buying a new microwave. Disappointing .

Great Microwave for the Money

Love this microwave, it's very quiet and does a great job on baked potatoes. I'm also impressed by the suction of the fan. It has dual night lights and I can finally see what I'm cooking. I researched a lot of microwaves before settling on this one and am very happy with it. Would highly recommend it.

I have owned a variety of microwaves. some were very good but none preformed 100% as was stated. UNTIL I purchased my LG. one of the most important features to me is to be able to melt butter without it exploding all over the inside. this is the only microwave that allows me to do this. the other features are equally perfect. I will only recommend LG to anyone who asks.

Microwave delivered today no power.

This microwave was delivered today. The clock, fan and light worked. After two uses of cooking, 5 minutes then 6 minutes, there is no power at all. Checked outlet and it is fine. This is the third LG microwave we've received in two months. The first two, model lmh2016st (basically same unit with upgraded fan unit) worked but had a manufacturing defect and the entire front of the unit drooped down on the left side. Headed out to the store tomorrow to try and have another one delivered. Very frustrating. We ordered an LG fridge, dishwasher and stove at the same time as the microwave and all work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lasted less than two years

We purchased this microwave back in November of 2012. It broke in October 2014. It worked well while it lasted and the quality seemed good but there is no excuse for a microwave to break in less than two years with moderate usage. It was too expensive to fix so we had to purchase a new microwave.

I thought I had hit the jackpot with this microwave. Then one day it just totally went dead when I was using the fan while I was cooking on my stove. I wasn't even cooking with the microwave.
I think this product should have lasted more than 18 months. It is such a job to get one up over your range and then for it not to last.
I do not have kids in the house or a lot of people using it. Usually just reheating and cooking veggies for dinner. I did like the softening feature for butter when I make toast.
