Quality was not what I expected

Hadn't even used the unit when the motor needed replaced. It was brand new out of the box. Positive is service was able to replace motor and works fine now. It is a little alarming to have a never used unit need a new motor. This is not the only brand new LG appliance I had to call service on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish I had the money to go for the convection/microwave combination, but this is a good overall microwave with easy to use features.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've installed two of these, one in my house and one in my parents'. The model has nice features, but between the two units, the number of mechanical and electrical failures has been ridiculous. The one at my parents' house is now scrap just outside of warranty, the fix too expensive to be worthwhile.

Door fell apart & Fan had a mind of its own!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the past year the fan kept coming on at all times of the day and night. We had to unplug it to make it stop. It was very loud. The chrome piece above the door fell off and we taped it back on. Then a couple weeks ago, pieces started fall off the door and the glass fell in. It was 7 years old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the unit for 2.5 years. In vacation home so only used half time. Unit just stopped heating. Informed that it was probably cheaper to buy new unit vs repair old one.

The worse microwave

We have had our microwave for less than 1 year. In less than a couple of months the digital display started going out to the point that now we can barely see the amount of time remaining when we warm up our food. This also affects the clock so we can’t tell the time from the display. We received the microwave as a gift so LG will not repair the motherboard because we do not have a receipt. Do not waste your time purchasing a LG microwave. This has been the worst experience. The picture shows how the clock looked when it first started going out. Now most of the digits have disappeared.

Great Product

This is a great product. Everything works well. One problem with installation, the instructions state that you need an opening of at least (I don't have them in front of me so I don't recall the exact number of inches). That assumes there is no wall right next to the opening on the hinged side of the door where you plan to install the microwave. I had it completely installed and found I could not open the door to the unit because the door hit the wall. I ended up moving the cabinets where it was installed by about 3 inches. Now it works fine.

Best Microwave Ever

This is the best Microwave I have ever purchased. I do like the one touch controls but be careful. When you re-heat a piece of pizza or or dinner it does seem to get them a little too hot, other than that I am very please with this it. The 1100 watts of power boil water extremely fast and it is supposed to have an ultra quiet exhaust fan but it is still just as loud as all over the counter microwaves. I would like to see them manufacture a microwave that had a quite exhaust fan.
They did do a nice job getting the Stainless Steel and the handle to match all my other LG products. (Stove- Refrigerator)
Pros: Style/Design, Quality
