Not Able To Use on Mac OS X 10.7.5

whenever i connect to my MacBook Air it will mute the sound and itunes will be launched. should have read the review before i got it. so disappointed.
Pros: nice features, extra battery
Cons: does not work on mac, size
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mac goes mute which is not good for a presentation... I can't understand why nobody tested this looking at the number of similar reviews.

Works great but ....

I use my pointer on a MacBook Air and on my iMac (both with OSX 10.7.3) and have two issues with it: a. Once I plug the USB receiver it starts iTunes; and, b. Brings the volume of the Mac to zero and mute position, leaving on the computer screen the mute picture (not on the projected screen). Have tried to look into discussion forums to find a solution without luck. If anybody has a solution to this problem, I would appreciate you share it with us. Thanks

Cons: cancels volume on computer, boots itunes

Fails on longevity

I like the overall design, but the Forward button has stopped working after 18 months. Over time, I have felt the forward button lose its "click" action and it got progressively more difficult to operate, then it finally stopped working entirely. It's a shame because the unit has so many other good features, from the spare battery storage compartment to the ergonomic shape. It seems that the product designer got it right, but the engineer cut corners. I will not recommend the unit and am now shopping elsewhere for something more durable.
Pros: ergonomic design, mac compatible
Cons: durability

Couldn't be easier, slick design

I was skeptical when I purchased and the sales guy said it would be easy to set -up and use. I figured there would be some problem setting it up. (Isn't there always?) Not so...it was so simple to set up and the way the USB fits into the battery compartment, the switches to select which system you would be using was brilliant. I never write product reviews but I had to in this case. It worked so well with no problems....so refreshing!
Only complaint would be the hard plastic packaging for store racks. The industry really does need to find a solution for that.

I can´t make it work with Windows Vista

I tried it with XP and love it. But was never able to make it work with windows Vista. plug and play does not work and the company doesn't provide drivers.

heap plastic

The design is really bad. The plastic cover that has to be removed to get to the blue-tooth USB breaks. Additionally, the entire case began to seperate after only a few months.
Cons: cheap plastic
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works on MacBook Pro

I don't understand all the hate on this product. I am currently using it on a MacBook Pro with Office 2011 PowerPoint. It works perfectly fine. I just plugged it in, got a new device keyboard window and just closed it. I fired up PowerPoint and just clicked away. I don't understand all the negativity.
Pros: good ergonomics, fantastic ease of setup - plug in and go, love the laser pointer
Cons: lock button doesn't lock the remote on mac, receiver is difficult to extract from compartment
I would recommend this to a friend!
