I've had the otter box defender and the life proof cases, and I was always happy with the 5 star protection but unhappy with the increased width and weight of the phone. This time I went with the silhouette and brought it with me to get my phone. The decreased weight of the both the iPhone 6 and the silhouette case from my previous sturdier cases made the phone feel just right and gave it a better grip without sticking. I'm not even using the optional screen protectors because I'm enjoying the clarity of not having one. Only time will tell if that was a bad choice on my part. The edges of the case do stop the screen from resting on a flat surface.

Cons: not waterproof

The only recomendation I could make would be that the feel of the case is almost like a micoscopic "pebbly" feel which makes it feel a little slippery. My previous case on my iPhone 5 had a nice tactile feel. Other than that, great case.

I just received my new iPhone 6 and due to cost I ALWAYS use an Otterbox case (last 4 years and 8 devices). My last iPhone 5s I had the Defender Case and it was perfect. I had dropped my phone at least 25+ times and never a scratch (great job on the design Otterbox). With the new iPhone 6 I decided to go with a thinner case Symmetry Series due to the larger size of the iPhone. The only thing missing (in my opinion) is a screen protector. I was disappointed to find that the Alpha Glass is still not available at this time. I feel that my phone is vulnerable to glass breakage in the event of an accidental drop (especially with my past record). Other than that it's really a great case and looks and feels very nice. I also heard about iPhone 6 design issues where peoples hair gets caught while talking on the new phone. This case would certainly eliminate that.
So to sum up, great case just needs screen protection. Can't wait until the release of the Alpha Glass privacy but for now I have ordered the Tech Armour Ballistic and it should arrive later today.

The protection of the case is overall great. I cannot complain. I have dropped my phone twice and not even a scratch. The only part I dislike about the case is that if you a light colored one, any type of dye or dirt will show. The pink part of my case is now blue-ish because of the dark jeans I wear. Also, not necessarily all bad, but while the holding the phone, the case can become a little slippery.

Cons: light colors do not stay clean, slippery
