Great microwave!

Light Doesn't Come On When Door Opens

Did a lot of research, and was going to buy this model, right size, right features, right color, good ratings - until I read the interior light does not come on when the door opens! Deal breaker for me, but then I got it for Christmas. After having it one day, the unit seems to be well made, has convenient features, but I really miss not having the light. Who put so much thought into this model, but decided it was OK to leave off such a basic feature as the light coming on when the door opens? Major design flaw, IMO. Would have given 5 stars to what would have been the perfect microwave - IF - the light came on. Time will tell how long this unit lasts. This is replacing a Quasar microwave I had for almost 30 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped Working

No light

This appears to be working fine, but, beware, there is no light when the door is open, making it difficult to see food or clean the appliance. Wish they would have tried this out before putting on the market.
