Very Very Noisy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very noisy. The door seal works very well, but the freezer will not withstand a hard pull to open. The freezer will move with a pull hard enough to get the door open. Too repeat, it is very noisy. Compressor runs almost all the time. It is in the garage about 4 feet from an inside wall and I hear the compressor whine through and insulated wall in my study. The house newer construction and has 4" of blown in insulation in the walls. The garage ceiling has also been unsulated. The garage is used as a workshop and do not have another place to put it; so, I am puting rollers on the bottom so I can roll it around the garage. Finally, my garage floor is not level and I have had a really hard time keeping the freezer level. Especially in that it moves every time the door is opened

Hi, Bigabner! We appreciate you taking the time out to provide us with your feedback on your freezer. Freezers require strong seals to prevent the cold air inside of them from escaping. Rubber seals on edges of the door help to form a suction with the base of the fridge to keep the freezer door tightly closed.You can reducing the vacuum created by the freezer door placing more food into the freezer. The vacuum gets stronger if there is more open air inside of the freezer, filling it with additional items helps reduce the suction.
Most newer freezers may run a lot more; which is normal. However, at some point they do cycle off and the back on when needed. We understand that some sounds coming from your freezer can be clamorous, when in operation. Your freezer may make many sounds, such as vibrating or humming; which are apart of the normal operations.
Also, it is very important for your appliance to be level in order to function properly. If the unit is not leveled during installation, the door/lid may be misaligned and not close or seal properly, causing cooling, frost or moisture problems. After discarding crating screws, use a carpenter’s level to level the appliance from front to back. Adjust the plastic leveling feet in front, ½ bubble higher, so that the door closes easily when left halfway open.

Very loud motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer is just the right size for my husband and me. Lots of shelves and door slots. I have never had an upright freezer with a light in it so having a light is wonderful. The big downside is how loud the motor is when it kicks in. You can hear it outside of our house with the windows closed. Based on other reviews this is typical for this freezer. Very disappointed that Frigidaire apparently feels that a motor this loud is acceptable.

Noise

Very loud.

Great freezer
