We bought this to replace a chest freezer to give us more room where we keep it.
Very unhappy because it runs a lot and the electric bill is eight dollars more than any previous bill in just the first month of having this freezer.

At times it will run faster, such as after a defrost cycle. Could it be possible that the electric bill increased due to the summer month temperatures?
