compressor concern

The compressor has been running almost constantly since it was plugged in; I called and was told to set the "dial" at 5, however, there is no reference mark on the unit that indicates what the dial is set at! Why not a little black or red dot on the panel for a reference point? Also, I suspect I got a floor model; I still have the "frozen, never frosty" bent plastic sign that was displayed in the unit when it was in the showroom. Not satisfied at all! The grommets that were supposed to be in the package weren't there, and the package was opened: what else is missing?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am satisfied with the purchase. The design is pretty standard for most upright freezers, traditional styling that you would expect. Frost free feature avoids me having to defrost the unit manually. The only other features are a very bright light which is nice, manual thermostat and a door lock. Pretty basic and that is fine, for a little more you can get digital features and adjustable door shelves and all. Overall its serves its purpose as a bulk storage unit in my garage. Keeps my food frozen and has been working without any problems. So initial quality for me is good. Only complaint is a series of small dents on the side of the unit, but that could be from anywhere and the store took care of that for me.

I know more items in a freezer helps, but it does freeze FAST! Just wish shelves in door and interior were adjustable!
