[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this freezer about a month ago and what a wise choice. I am able to find what items I have in the freezer. Before I had a chest freezer and it seemed like I only picked the frozen items that was on top...and never dug down to the bottom of the freezer.

Running Well after a few months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few months ago to replace a freezer that was 30 years old, stopped running and we didn't realize it until everything thawed and literally ran out the bottom and across the floor. Because of that I especially appreciate the light on this freezer's closed door that indicates the freezer is on and running! This freezer has good storage layout, very bright interior light and a solid door. Very satisfied with this purchase thus far.

5 months on and working fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this after it's Older Brother died after a power outage ate it after some 20 years of faithful service. Keep hearing about people complaining about the "noise". HEY! It has a compressor in it and it comes on every now and then! It's not going to be silent like death! I have it in our kitchen. We've gotten use to it just like it's Older Brother and sleep just fine. DEAL WITH IT!

Strange noises

Mlindsay, I know how frustrating it can be getting used to the sounds from a new appliance. The sound you describe might be from when the door closes it creates a vacuum, making the door harder to open for a couple of minutes. You may be hearing the vacuum take place. Please take a moment to test the seal on the freezer by placing a dollar bill on the cabinet and close the door. When you try to pull the dollar bill out, if the seal is working, you will feel some resistance. For more information on the sounds you may hear from your freezer, please look on page 13 in your Owner’s Manual. Good Replacement
