What's great about it: easy to operate
What's not so great: battery
This was my 1st smart phone and I did a lot of research before making my decision. My wife and I are Seniors and are reluctant to change.We didn't text or internet so when she asked me to research new phones I did my homework.We have had these phone for about a month, and its IS ALL WE HOPED FOR>>>>we did have a few problems in the beginning but the help we received from the best buy sales person that sold us these phone was amazing his name is ALEX out of the Sarasota square mall store and was more then helpful, I sill do not believe how much he helped us , your would thought he adopted us:), I also want to add that I have been with Sprint for over 15years and there service people were no were as good as the best buy employee's, Again we love the phone and would say if your new to the smart phone seen these are great starter phones for you, but you need to buy then at best buy to get the people help,,,Thank you HTC and Best buy

What's not so great: Nothing so far.
I got this phone as an upgrade from the HTC Hero and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it.

What's great about it: large screen
What's not so great: hard to text due to small key screen
This is my first smartphone. It is a bit heavy, but I love the large screen. It is easy to download apps and make calls. The graphics are full color and beautiful to look at. Battery life is about 1-2 days if you do not play a lot of games (which I do not), and it is quick to charge. The sound quality is very good.

What's great about it: Does not slow down when using many apps. Battery life is great when using Wi-Fi.
What's not so great: Short battery life when in a poor reception area.
Phone has been available for over 2 years, still one of the best available on Sprint.

What's great about it: good looking, easy to use, big screen
What's not so great: Battery life, Charging port
I have had this phone for about 4 months and i love it for the most part....Expect the fact that my Charging port has broke 2 times now. The charger gets loose in the port and my phone will NOT charge. It sucks and at this point i think i am going to get a completely new phone.

What's not so great: Short battery life, scratches easily, apps won't install
My mom had gone through 3 of these phones and honestly, it's horrible! My mom's first Evo worked fine untill it stopped installing apps for a unknown reason(not because of low phone space), so my mom sent it to HTC To replace it, she got the new one, and It had the same problem and then, the screen's lcd's stopped working so she sent it in to get it repaired. My grandmother's First one, When she made a call, The phone crashed and returned to the homescreen. So she got another which worked. Phone has only 150 MB on it and SD Card only has 8GB's on it, And the pre-installed apps are taking up too much space. So, My grandmother now has a AT&T iPhone 4. So don't buy this piece of garbage.

What's great about it: call quality, speakerphone, reception, its all good
What's not so great: camcorder
I have had so many phones and this is by far my favorite...has excellent call quality and reception, its fast and i never experience a lag...i think it has a very good camera and picture quality, the camcorder is the only con i can find on this phone cause mine freezes and messes the video all up and also the camera lens sticks out on the back which can be easy to scratch ...battery life last all day and usually needs charging around midnight...there is so much good i can say about this phone, i highly recommend it.

Untouchable... if it had more space

What's great about it: Easy to use, can do anything on it!
What's not so great: Terrible internal memory, short battery life
I've had my phone almost a year now, and I love almost everything about it. The picture quality is great for a mobile device, the screen resolution is perfect, the kickstand is such a great touch. But it needs more space!!!! Sure you can put a memory card in, but that doesn't help for apps. You can move apps to your card, but most of them can't be transferred over, and even if they do, the whole app doesn't move. I use my phone for work, and must have close to 10 apps just for work that I need on my phone. Every month or so I have to wipe my phone clean of new pictures, music, emails, texts, and apps, and end up having to delete apps for my work and reinstall them several times a week to be able to use them. It's so frustrating!
Even though the rest of the phone is great, it can't compensate for the crucial mistake HTC made when they didn't put enough internal memory in. It also doesn't have a very good battery life if you use your phone throughout the day. I have to kill my apps every 30 minutes or so and keep my wifi, GPS and bluetooth turned off unless I need it. Very disappointed.

Initially I felt this was a great phone. Now the screen intermittently does not respond to touch. After turning the screen off and on again it works. I called HTC support and was told there were no known problems with screen. Try a Google, there are hundreds of reported problems with the screen not responding to touch. When they own up to the problem and fix it at no charge, I will change the rating to five stars.

What's great about it: It is a tough phone, doesn't scratch
What's not so great: Battery life, apps, swipe, voice reader, camera and much more!
I got my HTC EVO in july, it has now been 7 months and there isn't one good thing to say about it. I have had to go it to recieve a new battery 12 times because it will stop turning on. It also dies within two hours if you are a heavy app user. Me myself, I'm not, but when I would it would die. You have to carry a charger with you during the day and have it plugged in all night, because the battery dies even without being touched for hours. I am 100% upset with the phone and do not advice anyone to buy it. It becomes a stress having to go into BB to get a new battery or a replacement phone so they can send it in, and when you get it back, it's no better. It also randomly will turn off, the 4G has not been working, and it will force close apps and text messaging. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE

I purchased the phone at Christmas time and got a great deal. I'm still learning all the features, but overall I am very happy. The battery life is not that good. I suggest you get a car charger. Turning off the Wireless connections, location and bluetooth does aid in perserving the battery life. The dual camera is great. I had a video chat on the phone and the quality awesome. Overall the phone is really good for what I need.

The ease of ordering online, using my upgrade with Sprint and getting use tips from the Best Buy staff made this my best cell phone upgrade transaction ever - hand down. The phone has exceeded every expectation.

I am new to smart phones and the Evo is a great choice. It is easy to use and I love the large screen size. However, the HTC technical support is not great. I' vs had trouble accessing the site recently.

This hands down in the best phone, I prefer the android market and i use an 8gb memory card in the phone. Menus are easy to use and the camera takes excellent pictures

What's not so great: The Battery Life is Despicable
I bought this phone awhile ago mainly for the price. It was free when I open a 2-year contract. I read some reviews and heard about the battery problems but decided to try anyway. Now I'm going to say in terms of design and functionality, I believe this phone is just better than the iPhone 4. The display is gorgeous, its lightning fast with 4G enabled, the camera is great, but because the battery is just so awful it holds this phone back from perfection. An example of the poor battery, When I was using my phone to play Angry Birds, while Wi-Fi and 4G was on, the battery went from 100% to 0% in less than 5 hours. Yeah, it's pretty bad. But despite that, I would still recommend this phone to people because it is a triumph at so many levels.
