Solid construction, color fading

I bought this as soon as I bought the SoundLink Mini Speaker and have kept it inside my place not exposed to sunlight, but the clear plastic has turned yellow. Disappointed on that turn of events.

Yellowing Of Clear Portions Of Protective Cover

For those of you who have had problems with the yellowing of clear portions of protective cover, you might want to try cleaning the affected portions of the cover with toothpaste and rinse with water. I have run into this with other similar silicone materials, and it works great. Apparently the yellowing is some type of oxidation on the surface of the silicone, and the mild abrasive in the toothpaste will clean that off. Be certain to rinse thoroughly with water and dry before re-fitting the cover to your Bose SoundLink. I hope this helps.

Lasted less than a month

I bought this poor quality product a month ago, and now the part that is suppose to be clear is yellow...and not, i don't have it under direct sunlight.....

A Great Soft Cover

This soft cover accentuates and protects your SoundLink Mini speaker. Mine was purchased over a year ago and looks as good as new. This is used daily at home and at the park. Proper care of Bose speakers and accessories will keep them looking new. So, if you do not place in direct sunlight for hours, moving the speaker around with dirty, grime, or oils, I am sure the yellow tint will not occur.

Nice protection with flaws

My one turned yellow just after two months of use :( it protects but now it looks ugly due to yellowish look....

Yellow out of the box!

Pros:
- Snug fit for the Soundlink Mini II
- Does not affect sound quality
Cons:
- Difficult to remove (may also be a Pro if you think it will protect the device better because of this)
- Yellow out of the box: bought the item in a reputable store; did not notice it was yellow then because they had warm lights at the store. I only noticed the discoloration when I opened the item at home. Unfortunately, going back to the store to return it would cost more than the price of the item itself. :-(
*Also, using toothpaste to clean it (as suggested in a previous post) did not make any difference.
I was very satisfied with the Soundlink Mini II; not so much with the soft cover - mainly because of the discoloration.
*Attached photo of item on top of white paper (under cool white fluorescent lighting) for comparison.

This little Bose Speaker is one of the best audio devices currently on the market at this price range. They Meaning 'BOSE' have been talking about adding the one thing that the older model did not have. Which was the ability to Answer You Cellphone while using the Bose SoundLink Mini. Don't know if they actually have gotten around to putting in this feature but most speakers of this Price Range. In fact this feature is available on every speaker that I have ever encountered.
