We bought this unit because it was not digital. Although it comes on immediately after power is restored, this unit takes forever to cool a 14x14 room. We have two digital units in other rooms which cool much faster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

during the day it works ice cold but at night it isn't staying cold in my room this is why i give a low rating and the first one i got was damaged . the box that it came in wasn't but it was badly .

i have to say it's smaller than i imagined but that's not a negative at all.it's small,compact perfect for my room since it's small & it beats out my old panasonic ac by a longshot.the only minor complaint i have with the ac unit is their is no remote for it but other then that it's a well made product.i would definitely recommend this product to my friends.
